I don't like zoo's. If you want to have a zoo then wall in a large area (about the size of R.I.) and let the animals roam wild...then tell people to walk through without any protection. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Anybody remember the interior monkey exhibit at Mesker Park Zoo in Eville circa 1980? Huge pirate ship full of monkeys? Might be the best zoo exhibit I've seen. I have vivid, lasting memories of that place and laughing uncontrollably at the monkeys.

My wife and I love going to zoos. We have memberships at Mesker Park in Evansville and Nashville Grassmere.

Evansville - rhinos, giraffes, Francois Langur (monkey), and the other monkeys...

Nashville - lemurs, spotted leopard, giraffes, rhinos, and monkeys.

Zoos with good primate exhibits are great - St. Louis and Indianapolis have fantastic orangutans.

Penguins are great too.

Fiona the hippo at Cincinnati is famous and may be their top attraction.

I live about 5-10 minutes from the zoo...guess I'll have to check it out again, haven't been in there for 20 years probably.

I've always enjoyed red pandas.

Otters are fun to watch when they are feeling frisky. My most recent trip to a zoo/aquarium I saw two otters play fighting and they just kept going and going
