Probably just gonna see a **** ton of Jordan's, but I'm a sucker for nostalgia. Here are mine:

Jordan 11

Shawn Kemp Kamikazes

I also had some of the Grant Hill All star editions. Still a random sneakerhead Moby Dick. Pretty rare. I have a pair.

... My most coveted sneaker is ugly af. But those things are RARE.

Can’t remember too many because I wasn’t that into shoes (read: poor). I wore some teal Chuck’s for a while.

I do remember my least favorites. USA Olympics from JC Penney. Felt like I was walking on plywood.

Well, I come from the greatest era when my heroes wore denim on the court, and converse on their feet. While I didn't have the UK converse shoes, I did get a pair of these Larry Johnson ones I thought were pretty dang cool. I eventually got tired of wondering what the green/yellow gel was in the heel, so I took a pocket knife to the bubble on the bottom.

I'm fairly positive I had a pair of those

I had these one year. Pretty sweet. There was an air max one that was sweeter.

Of course I had Griffey’s. There wasn’t anyone cooler than Jr.

I guess I liked velcro straps.

These mfers were meannnn. Didn’t have either one, but I remember them well. Especially those Uptempos.

Pretty positive Duke wore those sometime recently, and it pissed me off.

Mama Dougan would not ever spring for expensive shoes, so she got me the Fake Jordans. Boy oh boy did I get made fun of over those shoes. Jokes on her though as they fell apart within a couple months.

Looking back and thinking about some of the poor effers who were giving me crap about it... let's just say they did not need to be wearing Jordans at all.

3rd/4th? Grade: Bo Jackson Cross Trainers. The first cool shoes I had were also the Bo Jackson’s, but I remember they were the kid size version, so they were simplified and not as cool (just in gray tones). I feel real nostalgia towards that commercial.

4th Grade: Jordan 7’s in Bordeaux (I thought they were a letdown from the style of the 6’s and never got another pair of Jordan’s until recently for work). The Looney Tunes crossover at the time seemed out of nowhere, but in hindsight Space Jam was in motion for years before it came out.

5th Grade:Reebok Pump Preseason Paydirt Cross Trainers. I loved these. They had a kind of cleat “nubs” on the upper and even in the neoprene tongue. I had them in a grey/navy/maroon colorway.

5th Grade: Air Force 180 Barkley’s. I liked these a lot better than the Jordan 7’s.

6th Grade: Nike Air Carnivores - just an obscene shoe in forest green, black, grey, and purple. This was the first time old people referred to my shoes as “moonboots” and I loved them.

From then on the only shoes that stand out for a while are some Adidas “Feet You Wear” trail running shoes (XTA Consorcium).

Until…

Reebok DMX Run 10’s in high school. I felt like the DMX “tech” only worked for a few months, but I remember these being the most comfortable shoes ever. I bought a couple more pairs in high school. I look for these from time to time and wish they just sold them (in the original colorway) like a normal shoe - not some sneaker head shoe drop BS.

Guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher.

I never really got into shoes back in the 80's. I couldn't even tell you what shoes I had. I think I might have had some British Knights. The first and only shoes I actually really wanted and bought were the FILA Mashburns. They were solid black and I believe suede leather.

Probably haven't spent over $50 on shoes since. Just don't really care about tennis shoes that much. I wear sandals most of the time. Easier to get on with my bad back.

These were popular when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s. Never owned a pair just adding some history. Stan Smith.
