In whatever sports that you watch. I am curious as to how the big blue watches and roots for other teams

NFL: Cowboys, my dad has always been a big cowboys fan so I guess I just grew in to it.

NBA: Pistons, my grandma lived in Detroit and The Palace is the only place I have seen a NBA game. My uncle is an editor of the Detroit News and he hooks me up every now and again

NHL: Redwings, same reasons as the Pistons although I don't really watch much hockey

MLB: Reds and Tigers, always have went to Redlegs games at least once a year and I always go to the Tigers games when I am in the mitten

NFL: Bengals and Saints... having spent most of my life near (Ky. & La.) these teams.

MLB: Reds... see above.

NBA: Boston... because they were the ones on TV back then, and it was the Bird-Magic era. Later on, I followed the Pistons, because I attended college "with" Joe Dumars.

NHL: What the hell is that?

NFL - Bengals. Dad was a fan. I became one too. (Now he doesn't really care and I'm a diehard)

MLB - Reds. Same as above but reversed. Pops is the diehard and I don't care; Cubs, mom's team, and who doesn't love a perennial loser?

NBA - No team, but I follow most of the ex-Cats and love watching playoff basketball.

NHL - No team, but I did try to be a Sharks fan when the Thoroughblades were around.

MLB - Reds

Mt preferred sport is rugby. My favorite teams are the Northampton Saints from the English Premiership, Wellington Lions from ITM Cup, Western Province from Currie Cup, and Hurricanes from Super Rugby. I also like the New Zealand and England national teams.

NFL - Bengals

Baseball, pro basketball and hockey - None, and could not care less!

Bengals and Reds. I go with the "local teams". It's nice to cheer for a team whose every game is on tv, and stadium is just a couple hours away.

MLB: Reds. Backup team: Yankees, because they're on all the time and I appreciate their historical significance.

NFL: Bengals

NBA: Meh. Whenever a team gets two UK stars on it, I'll be for them I guess. Just a casual viewer.

NASCAR: #48

NHL: Whoever keeps the playoffs going is who I'm rooting for.

Soccer: Team USA, because 'Merica. There are few things other than UK basketball and football games that I watch all the way through than a real team USA match in World Cup or qualifying. It's good stuff.

MLB- Reds. I remember being a Reds fan before I was a Cat fan. Big Red Machine is first team I remember.

NFL- I was a Houston Oilers fan at first. Well actually I was an Earl Campbell fan. When he went to NO I switched to the Bengals and been a die hard Bungle since 82.

NBA- no real favorite. I will watch playoffs and root for UK players.

NHL- sorry, could not care less.

- Everybody's a Bulls fan in the 90s. All of my friends had cooler Bulls stuff than me, so I decided to pick a new team and it was going to be the first team I saw beat the Bulls on TV.

- My dad is a 49ers fan. In the 90s he got tortured by the Cowboys and Packers, so I grew to hate them too. In 1998 the Vikings kicked the crap out of the Cowboys and Packers (and almost everybody else), so I stuck with them.

- The best baseball video game ever is Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball for the SNES. The best team on that game was the White Sox with Frank Thomas, Tim Raines, Robin Ventura, Black Jack McDowell...unbeatable.

Huge Reds fan.

What I like about baseball is that it's always there. You get home from work and turn on the TV and there they are. Almost every day, same time, virtually the same group of people--the monotony is a big part of why I love it.

If only I were a fan of a decent franchise...

Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks (to the extent I even follow the NHL), and Arsenal. Also a bit of a Wisconsin fan, at least in football, because my brother in law grad assisted there.

I was raised on the Bengals and Reds. Now I'm teaching my kids the same thing.
Never had a favorite team in the NBA, just a favorite player and that's Kevin Garnett, once he retires I'll only watch to follow the cats in the NBA.
Never cared for Hockey at all.

NHL Flyers

I lived and worked in the Philly area for nearly 30 years, so became a fan of those teams, altough I never watched hockey.

On a side note, I've always found it funny that there are a ton of St Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers fans, but you rarely see a St Louis Rams or Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

NBA - Rockets
NFL - Bengals
MLB - Reds, will only hop bandwagon if they are good other than that never watch baseball

And
to all the NBA haters in the thread that I am sure probably worship the shitshow that is 99% of college basketball these days.

MLB: Diehard Reds fans

NFL: Diehard Bengals fan

NBA: Don't really have a favorite team. Root for the former UK players. Used to be a big Celtics fan. They are probably still my favorite team, but the front office infuriates me.

Rams didn't arrive in STL until 1995. Might help explain it.

After the Steelers and Cowboys there are more Titans fans in WKY than Rams.

1985-86 Celtics - Larry Bird

1993-94 Boston Bruins - easily my favorite team on NHL 94 (I minored in this game in college)

I would like to add that the NFL is the only sport that I will watch regardless of who is playing, except the NBA playoffs. I love the NFL because the season is so short and every game means something and the NBA playoffs is the best basketball on the planet.

I don't ever watch hockey on TV, literally NEVER, but if you ever get a free chance to go to a hockey game I suggest you go because it is a blast.

New York Jets
Houston Rockets
Kentucky Wildcats
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Manhattan Jaspers

That's about it. There are other teams I'll root for here and there, but wouldn't consider myself a fan. Don't like Baseball or Hockey enough to pick up a team.
