Keep on voting 2-1 for monopoly public schools. You should love this. I have no sympathy for whatever KY schools boards do, woke & all.

Those folks over in gyero are loaded with money. They don’t care what it’s raised to, they will happily give.
That whole thread is a sanctimonious circle jerk. Those on there who bark loudest about "having a take and not sucking--have the takes that suck the most. It's amazing , frankly. I don't know why you waste energy posting there.

What is it even about?

“Since 2015, the schools’ real property tax revenue has gone up 72 percent, according to the PVA office.

One of the biggest complaints about Fayette County is its lack of transparency on the millions of dollars they receive every year. Presumably, we’ll find out Tuesday night why things have gone down the way they have, but once again the district looks tone deaf and surreptitious, two things our public schools don’t need.”

That's my point. You don't have what it takes to post on a thread like that. I recommend you take yourself more seriously and then others will do the same.
A thread like what? Showing Superiority to others without evidence to back it up. The way you guys ran LoweLevel was ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, there's a few guys on there I like reading (UCL for instance), but even if I had "what it takes"@(whatever the hell that means), I wouldn't want to post there.

All you guys do is run new people off and act like pricks. The irony is --the ones doing the running off have some of the worst takes.

Just quit the facade.

Monica Mundy and Amanda Ferguson both ask questions and do not rubber stamp everything. Tyler Murphy has been board chair for several years and is snake in the grass. Tyler, Amy Greene, and newly elected Penny Christian will always vote together with whatever the superintendent wants. I think Tyler’s term is up for re-election this coming year. Key is voting him out.

Yep. He teaches in Boyle county and is on board of one of largest teachers organizations (NEA). Fayette County schools will never have enough money in their budget. Last time they said the property tax increase would give the enough funding to cover all their list of improvements/new buildings. Well they blew threw that with $3,000 Sedona lunches, $25,000 trips to Australia, etc.

Where'd you find that? Is that one month?

Also Erica Beatty 32,000 dollars at crank and boom....impressive

Mendy mills - 52,000 dollars Galt House

Tons of plane tickets, and God knows what from Amazon

Honestly, imo this warrants a criminal investigation. Im not saying criminal charges, but there should at least be some very hard looks at these types of expenses.

It's okay because they received a $16,000.00 "In Kind Donation" from Crank & Boom as part of the deal. It would have been $48,000.00 if that hadn't happened. FCPS showing that they pursue discounts and donations to save taxpayer money! ;)
And now the owner of crank & boom is the new pta president at Rosa park’s elementary. Get ready for that’s schools future to be whatever the board/superintendent want it to be..parents will no longer have a voice.

And per usual the citizens of Lexington will.do nothing but take it and get further raped by our local government. Thanks Lexington
The good people of Lexington, or a good portion of them anyway, have been conditioned to believe that it’s racist and fascist to ever question government in any way.

It’s unbelievable. And yet, it will happen again and again.

What are the odds that a "consulting contract" is coming her way? The "In Kind Donation" is funny to me. They appear to be booking that at sale price instead of cost according to the invoice. I would love to see how they report it on their tax returns.

Interesting that Mayor Gorton didn't comment on this (unless I missed it) but given there wasn't a ribbon cutting ceremony, she probably stayed in the shadows.

I encourage everyone to join the facebook group Fayette County Kids Matter. It’s a great source of information where republicans, democrats, and independents come together to try and make Fayette county schools a better place. And please invite everyone you know to join as well. Thanks!
