First half of van ness match was like watching him on the comeback trail, slow, tired, lethargic especially against Lovett in the 3rd. Second half was van ness of old, full of fire, decisive and great technique. Dare I say, he is back!!!

We were in the house last night. Typically, the average Penn State wrestling fan is pretty stoic, given to sitting on his hands all night with his arms crossed over his beer belly, thus the background music that gets played during matches.

But to the credit of many of those fans, they were loud and responsive. Yes, they still did not rock out prematch with the music, dance team, etc. but they did manage to yell for once during a match.

It’s pretty brutal.

I bit on your thread title. While I enjoyed getting baited, I thought the "murder" reference was a bit over the top.

I would have gone with "A brutal on-campus attack allegedly ocurred last night".

The outcome was never in doubt, but what was surprising is the number of Iowa wrestlers that just appeared to give up
This team has that affect on opponents. It is difficult to appreciate history when you live it, but Penn State's current domination is historic. Enjoy it while it lasts, which should be at least another five years considering who is in the pipeline..
