Did David Lee Roth have good vocal capabilities?
Not at all. He was always a showman first with very limited vocal range. These days he can't sing at all. I have the Van Halen Live in Tokyo album which was released several years ago, and the vocals are embarrassingly poor.

This list is way too subjective to have definitive answers and I can’t really argue with anyone that was included. If you’re going on voice alone, I’ll add Michael McDonald. His voice is one of the most distinctive in the industry.

He would definitely get my vote for best backing vocalist.

You're right it's all subjective- when I see Micheal McDonald, I think "ruined the Doobie Brothers".

To be honest, I was never a big Doobie Brothers fan. I just think his voice is unique.

Why not serious? Fleetwood had a long string of hits and tours that match up pretty well with abouit every group this side of the Rolling Stones.

Oh I agree with you, just know some don’t like them so I wasn’t sure if you were being serious.

This list could go on and on for way more than 10 artists, but a few more for consideration:
Prince (the Revolution)
Tom Petty (the Heartbreakers)
Dave Grohl
