Assume a sort of updated LOG alternate uniform look for NW? Previous version did not have the white collar.

Our old uniforms suck.
They need to wear the older ones, the half shirts with the hip pads showing.
These jerseys now are being sold on the official PSU store; I just received an e-mail.
Why does a storied blue blood program like Penn State have to resort to embarrassing gimmicks.

Well, even blue blood programs like OSU and Oklahoma do this. In fact, Oklahoma wore their Bud Wilkinson era throwbacks this past Saturday.
I have to believe these type of gimmick decisions are not being made by football people. Most likely someone from marketing or a sponsor recommends these ridiculous gimmicks.
Really, other than having a white collar and white piping at the end of the sleeves, there's no difference between the regular jersey.
Or, the target audience isn’t us old farts but the 18-19 yr old recruits who also love all of Oregon’s uniform options?
Can they dust off those mid-90s defenses too?
After the performance the last two weeks, this squad has not earned the opportunity to wear the generations of greatness uniform….

Depends...are we guaranteed to get the good performances, or do we also have to watch Sedrick Irvin and his sidekick each run for 200 each, or Brian Griese and Anthony Thomas light us up at home?
I think I've read that pink is supposed to be a "calming" color - maybe it would put the opposition into a soporific state!The way they're playing the pink would better!

Penn State’s plunge out of the Top 25 matched Bud Wilkinson’s 1959 Oklahoma for second-biggest drop out of the rankings, not counting preseason polls or the 2020 pandemic season. The '59 Sooners went from No. 2 to out of the Top 20 after losing their opener to Northwestern.
Would still like to see them use the royal blue unis that we had before Paterno switched to navy in the late 60s.

I haven't found many old color photos of PSU football games. From what I could find, by 1968 Paterno had switched the helmet stripe & numbers as well as the pants stripe to navy blue while the jerseys remained royal. 1969 appears to be the first year of navy blue jerseys.

I really like throwback uniforms for homecoming. Not embarrassing in the slightest. I think it is a cool honoring of past teams.

Ironic how we are bringing back the dark years uniform for this game. Fitting also.
I really wish that they'd go back to the diamonds in he end zone; to me that was an iconic look like the checkerboard at Tennessee. Of course, I also wish that they'd put the numbers back on the helmets and also put stripes on the pants. I also would be in favor of having a second blue helmet with the lion head logo on it.
I never understood why they ever went with the white shoes for the legends/tribute uniform as they were only previously worn in the loss to Alabama.
And not even by the full team (don’t get me started). Anyway imho the shoe component of that uniform happened the other way around. Something like this:
