Feeling better about tomorrow

Earlier in the week I wasn't feeling very good about this game tomorrow at all. Their multiple driving and scoring guards is what has bothered me the most about SC. And the Gamecocks seem to always play their best when the Cats come calling.

But I'm feeling better and more confident in a win today after reading comments from Calipari and Aaron Harrison. There is no question that the loss in Columbia had a very profound impact on them all. The loss itself was embarrassing. The SC students rushing the floor was adding insult to injury. Calipari getting tossed from the game was ugly.

Listening to them talking about it all today, I can tell that South Carolina isn't the only team who has had this game circled on the calendar. UK has too.

I guess I didn't realize how profound an impact that game had, but I think we'll see it tomorrow in our effort and intensity in this game. I also think the pizza party offer by their school president (while it may be intended to prevent a court storming) could be seen as "planning for a victory" and could give UK a psychological edge as wrll. I think we could win big if we really bring it.

We were down about 20 in that game and did almost everything wrong that we possibly could do.We lost by 5,I don't look for us to repeat that showing.I think we got this

Only way we lose to tomorrow is if they hit a boat load of 3s and they are not a 3 pt shooting team. Only one guy is averaging over 1 per game, and he is just barely. Hasn't hit as many as Devon or Aaron. I guess they could shoot lights out from 2 and get us in foul trouble, and we shoot poorly from 3, but I don't see all of those things happening. From Martin's presser the other day, they are not playing anything like they did up to their big win over Iowa State. Also hard to see them turning it around on a dime.

FWIW - I'm really nervous about his game - several reasons:

*Last year is one - they may have the confidence (or may not)

*2010 our first loss of the season was at USCjr

*Gamecocks will be pumped for this game - they have lost 4 of the last 5 I think? They're desperate

*Our recent play - against Ole Miss, TAMU and Vandy; Those games were very....uninspiring

*We are undefeated - bound to lose one and soon

Now, that being said - all those reasons above could also be reasons why we win this game going away. Revenge is going to be high on our boys' minds today.

Don't worry they got this. This team can put it in another gear like not very many teams can.

I think we'll be much more focused in a hostile road environment, TAMU was an anomaly. How the game went down last year, a little smack talk coming out of Columbia, Thornwell & school pres., I'm expecting us to bring our A game and it won't be close. Could be ugly.

Right now my biggest concern is having to put up DV calling the game.

Oh, Bev, c'mon now !! get some positive thoughts going ! Think about it this way :

We're undefeated, and we're staying that way !
Our recent play : Mizzou and Bama' was VERY inspiring !!!
Gamecocks have been in a slump and are playing badly, it'll stay that way today!
Unlike 2010, Devan Downey IS NOT walking thru that door !!!

They're going to have any confidence ripped from them from the start by our Cats' !!

See? We got your back, girl !

as long as we got them Harrison boys, i got no worries. haven't all year, even with the two overtime games.
if it comes down to it, and it's all on the line, they step up. they just don't get rattled.
