Also helps to have a unique talent that waited his turn and bloomed late in his career. Assuming Dotson goes in the 1st Round, Coach Franklin should just post No. 5's first contract vs. KJ Hamler's first NFL contract as Exhibit A as why it's not always a no-brainer decision to leave college early. Dotson might only be drafted 15-20 slots higher than Hamler but will receive 6-8 million more in guaranteed money simply because he chose to be patient and hang around another year.
