PSU RUN DEFENSE FILM STUDY

See Link. Obvious topic considering what happened last year...for the most part, it felt like the issues from 2022 -- getting pushed up front, secod-level guys not filling gaps when pullers and motion creating new/extra gaps -- were corrected. Couple busts (Elsdon, surprise surprise) and getting out-schemed a few times on 3rd Down in Prowler.

I feel we need to go to a goal line defense on 1st down when teams go with 7 OL. Like Illini in 2021 and Michigan. We did on their only attempted pass. Resulted in BS pass interference on King. My only complaint. Need a better feel for what the opponent is trying to do.

Muted Gus and listened to our radio. Jack Ham thought our guys got too far upfield on a couple of their big runs. Not a scheme issue. Wrong gap by one of de’s on a run too.

Man, these videos are like crack. I was hoping to see some analysis of Drew, as he had another poor game coming off what appeared to be a turning point vs Maryland. Saturday, it looked like the Drew we saw vs Ohio State, except arguably worse since he wasn’t pressured nearly as often.
