Am I looking at the wrong area for tickets? i went to the 2011 final 4 in houston and I recall purchasing tickets to both sessions through the website for around 300$. Now that they've go online I can only find "ncaa fan experience packages" starting at 602$+! Is that the only option or has ticket prices increased? nose bleeds are the ones starting at 600$ and I've been at ncaa games in the cardinals stadium. I was actually a lot closer than those seats and the game experience was terrible from that high up... I can only imagine how it is from the nose bleeds

No, I believe that you can buy and sell individual sessions and/or full packages starting in February. I don't recall this being the procedure when I went in Atlanta. I was selected via lottery for 4 full session packages that year. I broke them up into individual sessions and sold 2 of my 4 for double face value so I essentially went with my wife for free. Unfortunately Duke lost to Louisville in the E8 that year, but it was a ton of fun regardless. I will say this, most fans wait until they know their team is in it before they purchase. That means that prices for tickets will stay relatively low until the week leading into the final 4, at which point they will jump way up. Here's 2 tidbits for those considering:

1. Buy early and get them cheap.
2. If Duke doesn't make it and you don't want to go, sell them in individual sessions rather than all session package. The finals tickets may not sell until Sunday or Monday, but for whatever reason the market for individual sessions spikes well above full sessions. Meaning that it was cheaper to buy a similar situated ticket as an all session package than it was to buy one individual session, which makes zero sense, but true.

if you take a look in early february I am sure you will be able to find reasonable prices. The market tends to start right around face value and then spikes to double face value the week leading into the final four when teams are decided

If we can convince that unc fans that they are a definitely , beyond a shadow of a doubt, guaranteed for sure, you can bet the bank final four team and when they don't make it and convince them to buy up all they can then they don't make the cut Duke fans should be able to get them pretty cheap. Of course we have to make the final four ourselves. :) OFC
