...Last nite was the end of the nonconference part of the home schedule. Excluding the Miami (FL) game, attendance for the eight home games this year averaged 15,881. That was down sl. from last year's nonconference average of 15,901, which was Mack's first year. Last year, there were nine regular season home games out of conference.
And that's down about 11% from the year before number of 17,794 which encompassed ten games. The two-year number could be relevant in some cases because LPT is on the home schedule every other year.
We don't know yet what the conference games will show, but it does appear that the big drop in men's basketball attendance may be leveling off. I'll be tracking it...
