Hard to believe you could go rent a movie and those gigantic machines in the 80's , seems like yesterday but decades have passed .

I remember renting vhs movies at a place that rented tapes, vcrs in a big plastic case, laser disks, and humongous laser disk players.

My kids think it is so weird that movies, music, and books could only be purchased with a physical copy. My son asked me yesterday if he could buy a game and I said it was ok but I didn't have time to take him to the store. He just looked at me and shook his head.

Ha, I remember taping one of the last Eddie Sutton shows, the team with LeRon Ellis and then taking my parents old school, over the shoulder type home recorder that sit on your shoulder and splicing the theme song to the Golden Girls to highlights of the 88-89 team.....to cool for school.

Next to follow suit are those rewinding machines.

For without vcrs, you will not need them.

I remember paying about $700 for one when they came out. It broke down, cost to much to throw away and buy another like you do these days with most toys, found a place in Huntington, WV that repaired it.

First movie my parents ever rented. We rented it from Pieratts, for some reason. Same place we bought the VCR.
