This game and the UNC game seemed like sure-wins near the end of the game and both ended with losses that have left me speechless.
Players made turnovers and missed shots. I blame the players more than Pope. But, we do need better offensive sets.

Needs to be an internal investigation on betting. Is Pope pulling an Adam Sandler or Bert Reynolds ?

It's true the players were terrible, but that doesn't change anything. You can usually tell by year one or two if a coach is the right fit or not, and it's pretty obvious that Pope is out of his league here. Not his fault, Mitch hired him despite his complete lack of creditials. I still like Pope, and I want to remember him as a player on our greatest team...not as a screw up by Mitch.
Pope ran the offense through Moreno and then Garrison at the end. Both turned it over. Those 2 should have never had the ball out top at that time of the game.

This is not a highly skilled team. Can't pass, can't dribble, can't shoot. They look like a pick up game team at the Y. I guess they're trying to run sets, hard to tell.
