I know ADs want to lock games in before anyone beats them to the punch but scheduling ten years out is crazy.

I always appreciated that Saban allowed us to score a TD when we played them in Beaver Stadium. Very classy of him.

I was on the sideline for that game. It was literally like watching men against boys.

And the machine has had another decade since then to get bigger and stronger while we were knifed and left for dead. I guess we're not doing too bad all things considered. At least we're not the Steelers.

Saban will be in his 80s by 2032/2033 - when does he retire and will 'Bama not be any good by then?

I will just point out, we were supposed to play them a few years earlier and they bailed because they didn’t want US to embarrass them.

Those are a decade away and Saban may not even be the coach. I doubt he is to be honest. Alabama may not be the same program when Saban is gone. Good luck to Minny though. They’ll still probably need it.

Kind of an odd choice of opponent for Alabama. Not saying they should only play elite programs, but even someone you'd expect to be more second tier (e.g. Michigan St, Wisconsin, Iowa from the Big Ten) makes more sense than a team like Minnesota that could easily be 3-9 in any given season that far in the future.

Also, on the note of scheduling and Kraft, I wonder whatever happened to the rumored series with Texas that someone mentioned on here earlier this year. that seemed like a perfect fit and I hope that is actually on and will be officially announced at some point.

With USC and UCLA coming the entire Big 10 scheduling model is likely to change in the near future. I don't think scheduling anything this far out makes much sense until that is ironed out. Well, scheduling 10 years from now never made any sense but it makes even less right now for Big 10 teams.
