It just amazes me that we only have one PG on the team. For a team that was supposed to be the deepest team in the country, that’s just unacceptable.
But poor Pope doesn’t have a point guard! He can’t help it. How was he supposed to know he needed a backup point guard? As long as he keeps every game under 10 points he should come back and get another extension!
Hoping for a massive turn around. But this isn’t Kentucky and when I look at recruiting it doesn’t look like it’s going to be. I’m calling for a change at the end of the season and we need a new AD as well. This is okay at Tennessee or Vandy, it’s not okay here. Under any circumstances it doesn’t matter.

I gave up on this season quite a while ago. Why?
- we can’t shoot, at all
- we can’t pass
- we can’t dribble
- we turn the ball over a lot
- we don’t know how to screen
- we don’t know how to run anything on O
- we are soft
- we are less talented than most D1 teams
Really, it’s just obvious that this season is lost and we have to start wondering out loud if Mark should be here.

Can't deal with physicality. Can't inbound balls. Can't hit our free throws, lack of consistent effort, either poor or unwilling passers, Etc.

yeah i honestly didnt have a fun time watching last years squad either, it wasnt really entertaining and we got blown out a ton, but i was under the assumption recruiting would get better.... it just got way worse
The rotations make no sense. The offense is awful. The roster is poorly constructed. Even on inbounds plays it’s amazing how bad they look. This staff can’t recruit.

I am afraid you are correct about one more season. This year we are going to be clawing for a spot in the tourney or (sigh) the NIT. But next year looks much worse unfortunately where we might struggle with some of the mid majors on our schedule.

The nostalgia stuff was a means to draw everyone’s attention away from what was going on with JMI. Barnhart is buying time to retirement and trying to fix his business buddies before he goes out and in return they’re going to give him whatever they’re going to do. He’s a fraud and he’s burning this down on the way out. They’re trying to fix the money stream where they find a way to lock in the money and get in front of the players pulling the cash away. This was always a fix. Nobody else even dared do this, and it’s why Mitch is here. He’s brought in to make men wealthy and keep the money where they want it. He’s a hatchet man, you see men like this all the time in other sectors. Straight hatchet man, and he’s in control of Kentucky basketball.
How can you watch this team and not see that the constant subbing kills any offensive momentum we have?!

So, quick question for all the Pope haters...Rick Pitino, in my opinion, is one of the 5 best coaches in college basketball history. Now, Pope should be fired for 8-4, with a win over Saint Johns...so does that mean a preseason top 5 SJU team that is 7-4 with a double digit loss to UK should result in Pitino getting the ax? Cause I kinda think he couldn't. Please, all the fire Pope crowd, feel free to chime in

Pope pulled off a convincing win on the backs of JQ and Lowe. I’m happy, but it shows the importance of getting elite players. If Pope wants to stick around, he’s gotta recruit better. If it’s JMI, step up and get it changed.
