Anyone ever purchased one of these? I'm thinking about grabbing one off ebay for like $65. From what I can tell, some of the addons allow you to essentially stream all new movies and tv shows. I'm interested to hear of any personal experiences with them.

Anyone ever had any notices from their internet provider for streaming content like that, or is that typically only going to happen when you're downloading and seeding from a torrent site?

Not really interested in regular TV. Was more looking at streaming new movies.

I have one. turned the Dish service down to the minimum this summer. You can get pretty much everything. You do need a pretty good wifi signal. And sometime the streams are not available but you can just try other ones. Its almost too good to be true.

I have one. Posted about it in the Roku thread. I get all the PPV movies, MMA, and boxing without any problems. Can even get Netflix , HBO, Showtime, etc.

What addons do you use that allow you to watch PPV movies?

You've resorted to asking catsfanbgky questions on Cat paw, that means it's time to log off.

Give it another shot in 2017. Take care, Chase.

Get out of my thread or there will be consequences. I know a guy who knows a mod.

Save yourself the money and buy a firestick from Best Buy or eBay and install kodi yourself. It's easy and will take you 20 minutes tops.
1.Search "how to add kodi to firestick without pc" on YouTube.
2.Search "how to add fusion to kodi"

I bought one already preloaded like you're talking about and it messed up within a month. I had to reset it to factory default and learn how to do it myself. If you run in to any problems just post it in here and I'll be glad to help out.

^ this is correct. Don't waste money. Just install yourself. I did it last week and it takes 10-15 minutes maybe.

This video also helps install a more user-friendly interface.

Thanks guys, and much to BBdK's delight, I may be even dumber than I thought. I have a Sony x850c TV and the Kodi app is available from the playstore. I assume the android TV kodi app is essentially the same, and I can skip the Firestick all together and ad the addons directly through my TVs app?

Yes. You will have to install the repositories and stuff yourself. Which isn't hard to do.

Do most of the Kodi streams work via torrents?
No. Completely separate from torrents. A lot of torrent users are switching to Kodi. It's just streamin from different servers/channels.

I'm a huge fan of the new skin.

Damn that skin was nice. I had Kodi sometime last year but I got rid of it because the UI was intolerable

It's came a long way in the past few months. I have a tv guide menu for live tv now. I couldn't find that with older versions. xbmc was amazing for it's time but Kodi is on another level. This guy cracks me up but he knows kodi.

I understand, it's not for everyone.

I've never used it on anything other than a pc tower that's dedicated to our tv. We have the remote sensor hooked up so she can control her shows, and it allows me to have my own pc/monitor/headphones hooked up for sports.

Thought Kodi Addons was a chick. Then read it's about some cable system that I'll never be able to afford. Sure wish Kodi Addons was some new hot chick. Damn.

Some people ask questions for help about something they do not know anything about. Not everyone knows every gd thing like you do. But I am done posting in a thread you once again **** on. Just do not have time to argue with a kids mind in a adults body. Logging off potna. It is ok to joke around and be a smart ***, but not on every gd topic.

Well figured it out last night. Installed Addon Installer, Exodus, Salts, Pheonix, Apple Trailers, Velocity, and Aeon Flux skin. Also set up a VPN for my TV's connection through VPN Unlimited. The only thing that sucks about a VPN is its drag on your internet speed. I went from getting a solid 50-55 to 10-12.

Did some more research last night and I'm considering getting Real Debrid for a better stream. Any experience with that? Does it really make your streams higher quality?

I'm using a 75" TV, so any quality degradation is really noticeable.

I know I'm likely in the minority here and will get some vehement disagreements but theft is wrong. Just because it's a movie or tv show you can stream online without paying for the subscription or PPV fee doesn't make it right.

It always amazes me that people who would never think of stealing from someone directly have absolutely zero problem with stealing intellectual property.

Couldn't agree more. It's Chase though, so nothing surprises me anymore. His entire life mission outside his family is to steal as many movies & original programming as possible.

Pathetic.

Specto is by far and away the best channel. 1 Channel is a close second. Just go to video's add on and search.

BTW, I laughed when I googled Real Debrid and saw they charged. You're "researching" the wrong pages. I kind of assumed that by your channels, VPN and drop in d/l speed. Then you said you're considering paying.

Research further.
