  1. No issues with the dude coming out; good for him
  2. Goodell sounded like a woke dork with his "speak his truth" line
  3. I'm so glad this dude is a Big Ten guy

I could have sworn Willie Gault was out as a gay man in the 80s.

Maybe he wasn't until after he retired.

I don't have any problems with it nor the jokes that have and will be made about Nassib.

All my gay friends have a great sense of humor about it unless maybe jokes are just totally tasteless.

Willie Gault is married to a woman, never heard anything about him coming out as gay

-offers comfort/support to gay boys/young men playing football in HS and college...which can't be easy. Gives them a role model, presumably a positive one. Suicide is a big deal amongst gay teens...I'd imagine this helps, and that's a good thing.
Just someone trying to get attention. Takes zero courage to do that nowadays.

Maybe his teammates, or others, suspected or accused him of being gay.

Seems like I remembers something about it but that was 30+ years ago.

I have 3 gay friends who were married to women at one time. lol

I'll never understand taking the contrarian view on everything. To me, Whitlock comes off like a miserable bastard obsessed with whatever the "Alphabet Mafia" is. He's looking for a villain where there isn't one.

What rudd1 said is absolutely true on the subject. Dude did a quick video on social media and donated some coin as well. Good for him. I'm sure others are going to feel comfortable enough to do the same down the road too.
