Collins is going with the big lineup of Pardon, Benson, Taylor, Gaines, and Law after Monday's abysmal performance against Penn State. Northwestern will have to shoot the ball much better than it has in the past two months if it is going to have any shot in this one.

This is gonna be a tough one, on the road against an Iowa team that has already beaten them at Welsh-Ryan. I think that was the game that turned the season for NU. The Cats were up 7 early in the second half when McCaffrey called time out and lit into his team. From that point on, the Hawks kicked NU’s tail and won by 10 — and did it all without Tyler Cook. NU let fouls get the better of them. I’m sure that’s why Benson is starting, to take some of the burden off of Pardon. We’ll see how long he can last, though. He’s a foul machine.

Benson has been good so far. That layup in the post was not easy to get with so many defenders around him.

Where did this NU offense come from? The Wildcats are shooting 56% from the field and 57% from deep.

This Northwestern offense right now is phenomenal, but Taylor is a liability on the court right now. He isn't producing on offense and he isn't an asset on defense. It's unfortunate, but I don't know what purpose he serves at this point.

I liked this, then Taylor hit a 3, so I'm gonna continue the reverse jinx by unliking and trying again in the second half.

Was scared to tune in, but NU looks competitive again for the first time in a while.

Long game.

Hummel said it at the end of the half: this is the team we thought we had coming into the year. Massive half from Law, which is great to see. But the other guys chipped in too. Amazing what happens when you make your open shots and start getting some of the tougher ones to go down.

The thing Iowa had in common with Indiana in the game at Evanston was giving space at the 3 pt. Arc.
