First-half thread for NU vs. Illinois

To put it plainly, this is going to be a tough one for NU.

It's in Champaign, and Big Ten teams have won a combined six games all year on the road. Illinois has the top scoring defense in the league and NU has the worst offense. Inside, the Illini have Kofi Cockburn, a double-double waiting to happen who has won one the freshman of the week award a laughable six times in 10 weeks. Outside, Ayo Dosunmu is a lottery pick talent. They run a three-guard system and NU is missing two starting guards. Illinois has depth, NU is short-handed.

Did I miss anything? The bottom line: I'm not feeling very confident about NU's chances.

Unfortunately, I would agree with this. I think we have a good shot next year beating them in one of the games.
