This one kinda feels over before it begins, but hey, you never know. With Buie, Gaines and Turner out of the lineup, the Cats are going BIG. We'll see if they just sit back in a zone and clog the passing lanes.

Keep it up Pete.

Foul trouble? Afraid of tired players? Afraid tall players are beaten off the drible by smaller players? Damn zone with terrible adjustments.

NU is just packing in their zone. It makes sense: use their length and protect players from foul trouble. But they're going to have to extend it a big because the Gophers are getting hot from distance. Minnesota already has five 3-pointers on 12 shots. NU hasn't even attempted a 3 yet.

Our offense seems to have no rhyme or reason.

Minnesota makes more 3 pointers than any other team in the league. Man to man they have one true slasher, Carr. Kind of handy for Beran or Kopp who would have trouble staying in front of quick players.

We allowed 20 at the 10 minute mark. 3.6, like in Chernobyl. Not great, not terrible.

It’s not that the zone is a terrible idea if you think you’ll be in foul trouble, need to give a lot of minutes to players, etc. It’s that our zone is terrible. Countless times you see players just guarding empty space.

We’ve been showing man to man when we score.

Our team is not fun to watch. Too many mistakes and no energy.
