Now that Dan Mullen is out at Florida, there are definitely a few UF commits WVU could now pursue...

Terrence Gibbs(RB)
Isaiah Bond(ATH)
Jayden Gibson(WR)
Chandler Smith(WR)
Tony Livingston(OT)
Jamari Lyons(DL)
Jamarrien Burt(ATH)

Most of which are 4 stars or high 3 stars and all have WVU offers, except for Bond.... If we could pickup Gibbs & Gibson that would be fantastic... We definitely need a quality RB & another WR in the 22 class... Being NB can take 32 this year, if any of those listed above are interested I would surely bring them to Morgantown, Im sure NB can find a spot for them given our current roster..

As an Analyst, absolutely! Serve as an analyst for 1-2 years, while hes still getting paid from UF, and if its a good fit perhaps hired as OC, though IM not sure if his personality would mix well with this staff...

His offensive concepts would be able to extract a high % production outcome from Garrett Greene's skillset, his concepts would work well to fully utilize GG's, Nicco, & Crowder's versatility..

IT would at the very least diversify the perspectives on staff, which I would greatly support..

Does anybody truly believe that Dan Mullen's next best opportunity will be as an "analyst?" Are you kidding me? Mullen will be a very good offensive coordinator, if he doesn't land another head coaching job.

Many "Name Brand" coaches take Analyst positions after they are fired or let go, because they are still getting paid for the next 2-3 years, so its a way for a University to increase the quality of the staff without enquiring the cost.


Its a way for coaches to still be involved, but not as demanding... A simple search will show how common this is within NCAAF even among quality coaches, or what some may perceive as quality coaches.

Mullen has a very unique personality, he's not a good fit at every place, so much is dependent on what he wants to do, if he wants to take a couple years off from the grind, but still keep a toe in the pond..
