True Story - After basic training at Ft. Leonardwood I was assigned to Military Police school at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, Ga. It happened to be this time of year. After the 8 weeks of MP school I was selected to attend an additional four week course. During the zero week between assignments I was asked if I would like to attend the Masters. I had to ask what the Masters was. Once explained I gladly accepted. We went out at about 6 pm every night, picked up cigarette butts, litter and moved the guide ropes for the next day. The height of the evening was filling in the divots with sand a spray painting the sand green (before green sand). I never saw a golfer nor did I see a golf ball struck in play. I was blown away by the flowers and general course condition. I had never held a golf club in my hands at that point in my life. This was my first time being on a golf course.

Nowdays the mp's would be called out to remove anyone that ever lit up or threw a piece of paper on the course, no doubt...
