Former Duke basketball player passes away.

Former Dukie Jerry Robertson 1956-59 has passed away. He only averaged 4.1 ppg for his career but he is still and always will be a Dukie. He was a team captain. His is married to Jeanne Swanner Robertson a former Miss North Carolina and a stand up comedian still on the comedy circuit. May he rest in peace. OFC

I don't remember Mr. Robertson, but playing at Duke and marrying Miss North Carolina are both impressive accomplishments.

Sounds like he lived a rich full life based on info I gathered from his wife’s wiki page. Received his masters and doctorate from chapel hill. Was superintendent of Almance County School System. He and his wife did a lot to support Elon athletics. Thoughts and prayers to his family
