Has this stuff gotten any better? I got a bottle for Christmas and am seriously thinking of trading it in. The first two bottles that I had of this were gifts, and thank God they were as I thought this stuff was awful. Wouldn’t pay good money for it. Thoughts anyone? And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Yes, my thoughts exactly! I tried it several times, just not a fan at all.

Mixing it with anything doesn’t help. A lot of people like it in old fashions.

I gave a bottle I got to a family member who likes it. Hope you found something else this year you can enjoy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Thanks for the reply. I do appreciate it.

Not a whiskey snob. I like Makers Mark, lol.

As far as Four Roses is concerned I don't really like any of their main blends. The regular small batch is woody. The select is sweet and better balanced but I still don't like it. Seems to be a cocktail favorite though. Kinda expensive for a mixer, however.

Their single barrel isn't too bad.

One of my best friends has been a 4 Roses small batch guy for several years. He stopped drinking it because he said around the start of 2024 it started tasting bad.

Elijah Craig 18-year Single Barrel is my favorite, whenever I am drinking bourbon.
However, Jameson is my primary drink of choice.

Got a bottle a couple of months ago and it was great. Maybe a few bad barrels hit the market, who knows.

Noah’s mill is just overpriced KBD garbage. Turkey 101 is a far superior whisky for half the price.

The only Willetts worth drinking are family estate single barrels, and even those are a crapshoot.

I prefer rye for my OF and Manhattans. Rittenhouse 100pf is a great mixer.

Everyone has their opinion. I happen to disagree with your view on Noah’s Mill. It’s definitely not garbage. I like WT101 a lot too but in my opinion it’s not better than Noah’s. Taste buds are different everywhere.

Totally, man. Some people like oak bombs. Not really my cup of tea, especially at the laughable price point they slap on NM.
