Do you guys wish you had him back as your Defensive Coordinator after the success he's had as Clemson's Defensive Coordinator?

If that was an attempt to trade the first letter of the first and last name, you failed. If it wasn't, that's just dumb.

Brent was a great coach here and moved on to another opportunity. Mike Stoops is the DC. Wishing is for little girls. I almost forgot Brent is 4-3 against the Noles, with 3 of those wins coming via the Sooners. You guys might not like him being at Clemson in the upcoming few years.

I'll also add that after numerous years under the same coach, assistant coaches can get stale. New mentorship and learning new things helps a coach grow. It's clear Brent has benefited from the change and I'm glad to see his success. He's an awesome guy.

I like Schmitty & think he was trying to start a decent (but inane) debate. Go enjoy your weekend while I fight my John Deere LX178 mower belt issues...
No, Shmidty the poster is top shelf...this thread just isn't his best work.
It happens to the best of us.

I think it's safe to say, why would he want to come back? Brent landed in a great situation down there at Clemson and is recruiting like a monster in that part of the country. As for OU, I think OU is fine with Mike at DC. He isn't perfect by any means (who is?), but he is doing as good a job as any with the offenses in the Big XII.

I liked Brent and glad he landed in a good situation, but I don't miss him. He was a good, fiery coach who got the best from his players. You guys beat us because you had better players last year. Bama beat you because it had slightly better players. That's the way the game works.

I wouldn't mind if Brent applied for our HC job after Bob retires, but I doubt he would be hired. He's a good man, and congrats to him. Hope he's happy in sappy SC.

I miss Brent as a LB coach but not as a DC. the Alabama game is a perfect example of what BV defense looks like. He always has slow linebackers trying to cover tight ends and slot receivers in space, and they get burned regularly. Ou was capitalizing on it in the first half with Andrews but decided to attack their lock down CBs in the second half instead. Lincoln got outcoached by BV but lane kiffen de-pants BV on the big stage.
