Friday night thoughts on a Saturday morning

I have zero journalistic skills - so as I fill the foggy skies with a plume of smoke from My Father Judge - I want to express my thoughts from Friday night. Most of the day, I had CKLV on while I worked up Q1 go-to-market strategies for the day job, didn't have any audio playing just looked up at the tv every so often as action on whatever mat was streaming. I'm sure the tech folks at Flo are working on adding a ticker to the bottom of each stream with updates/scoring for the other mats, I would like to see that option. The next watch item to fill the time was McCort's match, no comments on the wrestling - but I will put this out there - the announcer was terrific! He nailed it - 2 thumbs up for his detail on the fastest TFs and action from McCort wrestlers! While that match only took a few minutes, I filled my pie hole and flipped on Pitt/Lehigh - I'm anxious to see Lehigh's best line-up - hoping the 33/41 duo get back on the mats soon. Nice W by Pitt - also give Doug/Scott props for an excellent job on the mic! It was time to flip on PSU/Drexel - had my tablet playing Pitt/Lehigh ( which I watched about 50% of the time or more ) - PSU is fun to watch, lots of action, dominant - but the better dual was Pitt/Lehigh, even though the talent level was lower. Most interesting to me was Nick Kosko on the mic - I didn't realize he did Flo or other announcing outside of Rutgers. Huge props to Nick - another excellent announcer! Let's hope all the matches get quality announcers this season!

We were at the Pitt/Lehigh match last night. We were looking forward to it because the two teams are pretty evenly matched and every dual between them, it seems for the last 10 years or so, has a lot of dramatic moments and surprises. It's great to watch Penn State's dominance, but it's also great to have matches that have a lot of surprises and ups and downs. As I noted on another thread, the biggest surprise was finding out that the seats right next to my season ticket seats were occupied by a former college football teammate and his wife whose son is a Lehigh assistant coach. What were the chances of that?
