A good rival fan doesn't just come around when his team wins. I expect a similar weeks worth of posting from him (and the others), just like when they won the first match up. Something tells me we won't get that, though.

Frieda posts here often and has been around for years. Seems to understand the game well and contributes with good basketball conversation whenever he posts. I feel he would appear here win or lose. Kind of like Grumpydawg, the Georgia poster, another good rival poster. No need to put either of them down as they have always come on here in a respectful way.

Hes a good poster. Tbf, most of us don't go on other team boards much so, I give him props for coming over here.

He does just enough lol. I'm overall fine with him, certainly more than the other Vandy fans that came here after the win. But theres a little too much "hey guys, fun game?!" after a win but too many crickets after a loss.

Granted, the post may come tomorrow or something.. I don't expect rivals fans to post the night of the game

He also comes over a lot over the course of the year. He isn’t a daily poster though but I feel like he wouldn’t be even on his own board.

He was indeed here for nearly a week after they beat us. Crappy as it gets unless you spend a week here after we win. LOL on that ever happening. 99% of rival fans hate us and it makes me roll my eyes when some side with them over UK fans.

I can’t stand the post he makes after they win. He knows that, I’ve told him. Take the win, I don’t need to hear how we tried so hard and we will be ok. ********. He loves it. Wants to hear how scrappy and tough his team is. He’s not too bad, but I don’t need it. Glad we kicked that ***.
He's quick with the "bless your heart" post. lol

Agree, one of the best on here IMO and especially those outside the fanbase. Good game @Friedas_Boss . Vandy has a bright future with both FB and BBall coaches. There are a few posters here I’d trade for Frieda and @GermantownDawg anyday.

Thanks, brother.

I love our basketball coach for sure, Byington is going to be a good one here (we think). We are using NIL money and the portal, and trying to bring in some young talent too, so I don't think it'll be too long before we're closer to the top of the league than the bottom.

Football, Clark Lea is kind of meh, but he is proving to be a decent CEO. Hiring Jerry Kill last offseason was enormous and he's done a good job in the portal but I'm not completely sold yet (because I watched his first 3 years lol). We love Diego Pavia though, just saw where Pro Football Focus ranks Pavia and Eli Stowers as the #1 QB and Tight End combo in the country, which is pretty cool.

Appreciate the kind words.

Any school that has academics like Vandy is at a disadvantage. I know they make exceptions but still not as easy as diploma mills like UNC athletics.

Yeah, I was way too pissed to drop by last night. It was a hide all sharp objects and weapons sort of night!

We have to beat Ole Miss at home on Saturday if we want to start building things back. The SEC is just brutal this season.

Ole Miss is tough too, no easy nights in the league.

I mean, you said you thought you'd lose by 12. Obviously the loss was bigger, but it seems you sort of expected it if what you were being honest. Not that this makes losses sting less or anything. But it's still very early for their coach and team. It's year 1, and Pope is proving to be a heck of a formidable coach for the SEC. Winning at Rupp was going to be tough.

And unfortunately, I can't let this slip through the cracks, sooo:

See what happens when Kentucky is given a shoot around?!

You’re good man. I hope IU doesn’t come take your coach from you

I don't lol. We really need them for March. I dont want to say Kentucky would always beat Vandy without them.. but it seems we were able to make due without them all the same. They need the rest, and I'd honestly prefer sitting them Saturday (if they are even available).
Butler from the sounds of it will be back by Oklahoma

I just don't see it, but I don't talk to Byington, maybe he's unhappy or wants to move to a weaker conference?

There used to be quite the delta between a program like Vandy and Indiana, that's just not the case anymore.

I’m too pissed after a loss to have you come by and tell us how we competed well and Vandy just played a great game. Not hating on you. I still click the thread when I see it so it’s my own fault. I’ve just always found it aggravating to have opposing fan come by and tell us how we tried hard or just had a bad game. It’s my issue. I’ll give you grace moving forward, you obviously have good taste in comedy.
