I'm doing ok. I had a difficult time with the last round of chemo, but my oral chemo was sent late and it's meant to go right after my drip. I've gained a little weight and my appetite has been much better. We are trying to keep the tumor confined to the pancreas and not spread. If it had shrunk they could get it out but that's very difficult. Pain has been under control. Good days and rough days. Emotionally I have had it hard. I lost two friends....one a coach that I was an assistant to, to cancer. One had pancreatic and the other to colon. This is in the last three weeks. Keep me in your prayers as I battle this. I've got two new grand babies I want to spend some time with. You guys are awesome. I'm so moved by your concern, thoughts and prayers. And I pray for you as I don't want to see anybody have to deal with this insidious disease and I pray no one gets it. Love you guys.....love my CARDS! GO CARDS! GOD BLESS YOU!

Funnycide, I praise God that you are hanging in there. To give you hope, strength, and comfort, I would like to share this with you. I just got out of a 30 day stay in the Baptist East hospital from pneumonia aspiration attached to the Ventilator for 8 days of that 30. I have Parkinson's, Diabetes, COPD, and Congestive Heart Failure all contributing factors. For the last 5 years I have been in hospital stay each stay last 10-14 days 5 times. But this last time was the worst time. While attached to the Ventilator I was under medication to keep me sedated, a lot of times I was awake. What gave me hope strength, and comfort were the prayers of many family members and friends attending me. The Doctor stated that the only thing that saved me was the ventilator. But I believe it was my own faith and trust in God. You see when I was so near to the brink of expiring the Lord was with me. I did not see him as I would with You and me talking, but I felt his warm assuring presence and he assured me that HE had that last say-so in what happens to me. He did not cause these diseases on you or me, or anyone else but can and does use them for himself to perfect his will. While under the ventilator he kept impressing on me to believe and trust in him and what he says in his WORD no matter what my or anyone else's circumstances. At times I heard every word being prayed for me by my family and their faith an trust in the Lord as well and it was warm and comforting and I drew strength from it,

You have many friends and family, especially on this site to draw strength, and comfort from their words and many prayers and deep warm feelings...draw comfort from this. Just remember GOD has the last say-so in what happens to us not the enemy who causes our pain and suffering. (See and read the Book of JOB, as well as Hesekiah)

MY prayers are with you as the prayers of your brothers and friends you have on this board are. And may the Living God bless and keep you to him and safe!

cardstud1...thanks so much for your testimony. Sounds to me you are a real warrior. I've been fortunate not to have a hospital stay. Your faith is awesome and gives me hope. I know God didn't do this to us. At first I thought this was punishment, especially after I got divorce and felt such a failure. Being a teacher, my students and coworkers were unbelievable in getting behind me and showing me so much support and love. Not to mention the prayers. My wife is my rock. She is unbelievable in her care for me. You guys have been great. My prayers are out to you and may GOD BLESS YOU!

Brother I am totally behind you and never despair or give in to the enemy, he has already lost the WAR, regardless of our battles and struggles in life we have...they merely train us! The LORD God is our father and he never loses.
