The NFL Hall of Fame announced today that the great Gale Sayers passed away today. For us older guys we remember him well. Only played 68 games due to an injury he still was first time vote into the Hall of Fame. Not to mention his friendship with Brian Piccolo. A big loss to the NFL. They did not mention what he died from.

Brian’s Song was a good movie about the friendship between Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo. It seems like a lifetime ago I can’t believe Gale Sayers was only 77 years old.
