Must mean Turner is either disciplinary or injury.

How many eligible, healthy guys are we down to?

8 man rotation
In other words, every scholarship player who is eligible except for Gaines (hurt) and Turner.

My hunch is Collins is using these playground games for the younger guys and letting Turner enjoy the trip. He has nothing to prove.

Kopp going 7/12 from 3 is nice.

I'm fine with Turner and Gaines not playing and giving the freshmen and sophomores all the run they can handle.

Immediate reactions: still can't shoot, Spencer is putting up some impressive numbers, and Kopp's a star. (At least today).

Shooting 41% on 3s is good (I assume they're using the new three-point distance in these games?). We shot 31% on 3s last year.

Let's hope the defense they're facing is giving them a better run than in the Kopp image above. I get the feeling it's not.

When take out Kopp's performance, the rest of the team shot 39 percent overall. Not good enough.

NU shot .40 from the field last year...and .31 from three

Opponents shot .42 and .29

Mid 40's overall would be acceptable, .44 would be an additional 70 makes. .35 from distance, also acceptable, would be 27 of those additional makes.

Sounds like Greer has made a bit of a jump. No idea how Spencer will be with the ball, but the assist numbers are nice to see (looks to be a complete gamer, level still tbd). And if Bouie can help the PG situation has improved over last year. Maybe AJ can be left to do his thing on the wing.

Careful about Spencer. If this is just playground run-and-gun ball (which I suspect it is) it plays to his athleticism. The question is his effectiveness in a real set offense. Won't know about that until November.

right, so "looks to be a complete gamer, level tbd" could mean that he's rec league all star

though, Collins effusive comments after a couple games indicate that he'll get time and contribute

I am optimistic that all three...Greer, Spencer and Bouie....will get better and better with the ball as the weeks tick by

Me too. The big winner will be AJ, who can return to his natural position.

Or they know what they have with Turner and need to give Spencer more playing time to get into the thick of things

That really doesn't make sense to me. All these guys need reps playing together - especially the guys we'll be counting on to play a lot this year. Plus, what kid would want to go on this trip and then volunteer to not play so his teammates can play more. I could see sitting out one game, perhaps, but not all of them.

Seems to be a secret. Is Fitz now coaching BB as well?

I am not impressed by the itinerary of this trip-Paris, Nice Lake Como etc. It pales in comparison to our Spring trips to Cape Girardeau, Cleveland MS, Jonesboro AR , travelling in style in Chevy station wagons

Yet who wouldn't want to go to Paris?

Did you make it to Lammert’s in Cape and get some throwed rolls?

Good point!
