Answer my own question, think I did see something in Italian and I don't mean the Old Wild West Steakhouse.
They do look quite a bit older, so maybe they will get tired. And the score is ???
OK. Kopp and Nance have definitely improved. Much more assertive.
Spencer is a baller. Will be a contributor.
Greer is improved but needs work on his shooting.
Young is not a stiff. FTs are an issue though.
The FYs are getting a huge benefit from the experience.
Illinois didn't even beat all four teams on their trip; lost their final game to a team who was bearen fairly easily by DePaul. They were similarly shorthanded (seven schollie players, though one of their walkons, the coach's son, has significant game experience). So certainly can't say that this trip has been discouraging. Still expecting a long season, though, due to the short bench.
Spencer will definitely see time. He looked very confident out there. There was a play where Nance threw him an alley-oop from the top of the key that would have been spectacular if it wasn’t defended so well.
Buie also impressed me and should be a factor for us this year. I liked how Greer played, as well.
Agree. Seems like a different player.
Both Kopp and Nance, from the little bit we've seen this summer, aren't reciting in their minds the meditations of Marcus Aurelius as they go into their shooting form as they did last season.
Confirmation of why Turner didn’t play on the trip. Also because there has been no activity on the basketball board since last Thursday.
And I never thought about that. Could Chase have played if healthy even though not eligible? They are exhibition games. Anyone know?
I was wondering that as well. Yet 4 w's and a trip to France and Italy, not bad. Glad o see some activity on the BB board. Thought maybe they decided to stay in Europe.
You could always stir up some discussion. Be careful, the PKK lurks around dormant boards. They do not like any free thinking or controversial thoughts.
