Storm is a professional; the only change will be falling wind speeds (imo) after dark but I'm not
It would appear Yankee is a professional too; just not a weatherman.
Cold frontal passage will happen before sunset so would expect stronger north winds to subside during the game. Kickoff temp should be around 60 with temps falling into the upper 40’s by the final bell. If any precip happens it would be light sprinkles or drizzle immediately following the cold front. Kicking game impacts would be very early in game with occasionally stronger gusts.
KC, Thanks for the forecast. Sounds like perfect weather for a football game and kicking some Red Raider buttock!
For Lubbock standards any day under 20mph winds is pretty calm. The surface low scoots off to northeast into Oklahoma Sat. afternoon, so the cold front can slide on through Lubbock. We are fortunate to not have any real bad weather games so far.

Yes that was a hot n steamy day in Ames. I think we hit 99 that day here in OP. I will take the 50’s because soon that ends. Bedlam looks pretty cool but dry.
