Northwestern (6-2) hits the road to play at Iowa (6-1) for their Big Ten season opener. The game will tip off at 6 pm and air on Peacock.

It’s just very strange that Sandfort is their best player and we already twice had guys in the wrong place on the help side on him. He scored two three pointers that were very avoidable. You have to know who you are guarding.

Whoever picked us to finish 16th in the Big Ten may have overrated us slightly.

And we let them smartly roll the ball for 10 seconds and steal an entire possession I ******* HATE IT when teams ignore this, that’s just like allowing a steal because you wouldn’t send one guy to jog up and contest STUPID

What happened to our defense they're shooting over 70% from both three and two

Could have been worse. Iowa couldn't miss and until with about 4 mins. to go in the half NU couldn't hit. Down 11 at half..
Lets come out strong and see what happens. We're not out of this yet.

Sloppy D combined with dumb passes and Iowa hitting crazy shots in the 1st half. Hopefully that run is the start of cleaned up play now that Iowa has cooled off some.

Ty Berry starting to hit his threes. He might be playing a bit angry.

Iowa has been absolutely killing us on fast breaks for easy layups. Their offense has been ticking nicely on that, but Cats have been defending well in the half court in recent minutes.

I think Hunger, who screwed Brooks' drive up hard, just successfully stopped that guard's drive n shoot. Wow.

These refs are really confusing me. They're calling fouls that aren't there and missing fouls that seem pretty blatant. And not just against the Cats although it feels that way.

Holy crap, three guys grabbing both arms and Matt his the floor hard. That had better be flagrant. None of them made a move towards the ball, it was all arms.
