Northwestern (5-4, 0-2 Big Ten) hosts Jackson State (1-8) today at Welsh-Ryan Arena. It's a frigid 12 degrees outside, feels like -5. Tip off is set for 1 pm CT and the game will air on BTN.

JSU is so bad on offense…. I’m not sure how playing them helps us. I still see a lot of the same lapses on D but we get away with it today.

I wonder if there’s a bug going around the team. Several guys look sluggish. The rotation seems a bit different. And Bennerman isn’t even on the bench.

Like a teenager I tuned out quickly and started doing other things while watching the game.

This is not a great opponent. Even if we also need these to give more reps to our guys.

Green make me some threes. When you stood next to Singleton they almost look the same height. I know he's listed at 6'6 but looks like he's even taller.

We need to recruit someone who can shoot. Bad outside shooting and even bad free throw shooting.

His height really helps because he can shoot over people. His offensive awareness is goid and his D is coming around. He hustles.

Still surprised how little KJ plays. And when he does doesn't score very much. Thought he would make the big freshmen to sophomore jump but it doesn't appear that way
Stunned! Well, at least today.

He's gotta have some type of injury, right? Only one minute in the first half of a blowout?

I was convinced heading into the season that this team would go as far as KJ goes. Gulp!

Well, if he can’t fill it up, how does he fit in? Can’t rebound like Gelo, can’t play D like Mullins, can’t set up the offense as a PG like West, and can’t shoot like Green. He isn’t even close to aggressive on offense anymore and CCC yanked him quickly after he blew an assignment in the Defensive end in one of the first possessions on that end. Major Chateau Bow Wow and he needs to work his way out of it!

I had tickets to this game, and was planning to make the trip to Chicago to watch, with the family, but my wife woke up with what I assume is a bad case of the flu. :(

I am a little disappointed because this was going to be the best seats I have ever had to a college game ever. Instead I had to sell the tickets at a decent loss.

Because nobody stays 5 years anymore with the transfer portal
THat's the opposite of true, especially in football, guys are fighting to keep their redshirts because it creates a very lucrative fifth year opportunity. NIL and the portal is making redshirts extremely valuable.
