As to basketball, our defense looks solid tonight. Can’t avoid fouis and allowing offensive rebounds, but otherwise good. They are just going to make more shots (though likely not free throws).
They missed an absurd amount of free throws and we had virtually nothing from Nick. Edit: 3 at the buzzer!
Wow ddnt realize Martinelli only had 5 at the half even with the tre before the buzzer. He got shut down the 1st half, others half to step up. Announcers focused on Arenas debut.

I was yelling this at my tv! The announcers making it like it was a bad pass, while our guy gets mauled!
Great win! Just a terrific effort all around. They didn't let the moment get too big.
When was the last time anyone had 9 rebounds? Hard to take him off the floor when he's doing that.

Nice win by the Cats! Three freshman starters. Martinelli made some great shots with 17 in the 2nd half. Impressive win on the road. We will win more games and look to continue to improve. Go Cats!
In hindsight - this coaching staff have only ever done one thing roster-wise: Heavy minutes for a short list of good/experienced starters - and not a lot of bench minutes. Moving to a wide-open approach this year with the intent to spread the minutes around - and with so many options and permutations talent wise - isn't something they've done, at least recently. Not having a true center is obviously a factor as well....
Ended up pretty good and all three Frosh played fairly well. Kropp had a solid game (almost a double double) as did West
Key play that pass from the back court sideline with 1.6 seconds and Martinelli catches it and drains it taking the lead back up to 4 (I think) Key play. Plus the fantastic assist by Marinelli (I think to Green) at end of shot clock in clutch time
