UNC literally tried to let us get right back in this game and we refused to do it.
If we kicked the FG on 4th and 19, we could’ve kicked another one there on 4th and 21. 8 point game with 3:29 left and 3 timeouts. We’d still be alive. And Beamer gets paid to do this ****.

I’m going to come out early and say. That I like Beamer and trust he can do well. But if he doesn’t, Tanner needs to be fired asap and replaced with someone WHO CAN make hiring decisions on the next coach. The only reason I haven’t checkout out on Beamer is that something tells me that Tanner is handicapping Beamer on coordinator hires. Regardless, I have zero faith is Tanner as an AD. Give him the option. Retire or be fired. It’s what he deserves. If I were USC Potus, he would be escorted oft campus by USCPD Monday morning and his personal property shipped to him by mail.

Lost this game the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half. Hard to believe that started with us recovering an onside kick. The Brown drop on 4th down was a killer. Amazing how fast it went downhill after that.
Obviously things change. But hypothetically if we had kicked the FG’s on 4th & 19 and 4th & 21, we’d have the ball, down 8, with 2:22 to go.

I don’t know much about Teasley but then again I know why now - awful coached Oline - if I would have been told NC would have 31 at the end of the game I would have bet we would win the game
Beamer better understand HC’s don’t make a team - it’s the assistants you hire - Datboy in the upstate understands that but I don’t think Beamer does - the end of last year looks to have gone to his head
I just read his bio. There's nothing in there that screams "HIRE". Combine that with hiring who was once considered the worst OC in the NFL...... we are fked.
Dear Beamer: forget all the hype videos and the cutesy videos spoofing "Full House" and "The Office" and just coach football. How many silly videos have you seen from Saban? The man does one thing: coach football. Oh, and win games.
Div II talent will make for a long year in the SEC. Throw in bad coaching/recruiting and we probably only win 2 games.
Nobody will do it, but Beamer should be asked some serious questions about the OC and OL coaching tonight. Didn’t even give serious consideration to Garrett Riley, Kendall Briles, or really good lower level OCs like Mike Shanahan. Well how you like that Loggains guy now?
Beamer did make a change at OC. We aren’t deep enough in talent yet to win. Yes, we may have to make coaching changes down the road. But depth at talent is our problem right now, and we don’t have it. I think Beamer can recruit, but it will take time. We lost a lot of talent, and don’t have enough yet to compete at a high level. That’s just a fact.
9 sacks is unacceptable- hate to tell you guys but Furman and your average D2 program - they are ranked
honestly it’s extremely hard to judge Loggins when NC defenders are coming in totally unblocked - I put this entire performance on the OLine - plays did t have time to develop
I swear I saw some of our players out there trying to squeeze the bear. **** is fun when you win. When you lose, you can’t help but wonder how much time was wasted with that.
I would like to compete against an acc team, much less "at a high level".
I will say that the "it takes time" idea is quickly disappearing with the transfer portal.
Jacksonville State is the team we’ll all be worried about when we play them. Furman is one thing. But Jacksonville State will come to play. Nothing easy this year.
At least if we’re gonna give up on another season we figured it out game #1. Now we can start planning other things to do on Saturdays this Fall. It’s like we’re a JV team and when players do well they will transfer out, and some of the commitments will start reconsidering. It’s also sad to see a QB with such a great arm running for his life. I’m out.
Why would you have bet that? Our HC hired a guy that was considered the WORST OC in the NFL, and has done nothing in the college game. How does that say we’ll win if they only score 31?
I guess that depends on what it means to “make it”. We certainly aren’t the measuring stick for teams that would. We haven’t won **** in the conference. UNC hasn’t won **** in the ACC since the 1980’s. They wouldn’t do any better in the SEC, that’s for sure. This is a huge win for them.
BS. You can’t tell me we don’t have more talent than Colorado, and they went on the road and beat the #17 team in the country. Deion Sanders hired a quality OC and other good assistants…that’s the difference.
We are going to throw for 500 yards with Juice Wells on the bench, I don’t think so. We lost a lot a o-line and D-line and we couldn’t match up. Yes, we may need to up grade coaches but it wouldn’t have mattered tonight.
Recovered the 2nd half onside kick and failed to capitalize to change the momentum and it went downhill from there. Key point in the game.
Should have punted, but would it have made a difference, maybe? Unless the o-line can play better we are looking at a smoke and mirrors offense the rest of the way to have any success against good teams. Then there’s the front 7 that can’t control the line of scrimmage. It’s going to be hard going forward.
