There are a bunch of drunk UGA fans chanting “God’s on our side” and “Let’s go Jesus.”

10-4 Friars to start.

As Nate Watson sits we start playing with Young and Nance at the same time. AKA our “this is not going well” combo

There has to be a lid on the basket we’re shooting on. Young and Greer both have attempts that *just* rim out.

Friars gaining momentum, up 19-6.

We are giving them WAY too many open 3s. They are good enough to hit them. Can’t have 20 seconds of good defense only to allow a wide open look.

Pretty apparent that the idea we have 10 players at the same level is complete BS. An idea that can only be explained by believing Fairleigh Dicksison or Eastern Illinois are representative of the type of competition we play against every year.

Even Berry’s big jump doesn’t look so big being pushed around by physical guards

Ryan Young is looking like a liability on both ends of the court
Young, Nance and Buie are way, way above the level of the rest of our roster. We have players right now hiding (on offense) from the game.

One thing I’ve noticed is without Audige NU has NOBODY who can penetrate the defense off the dribble.

When do we make this leap to being a solid team with good rebounding. We should beat providence. No more bs. This is the year to stop choking. Take it to the rim. Crash the boards.

Totally done with the zone. Too many open threes and poor defensive rebounding.

Had a solid stretch there where we were mounting a comeback. Unfortunately, they started making 3s again.

I’m not particularly impressed with Providence’s offense. We actually run better sets. They just hit a lot of 3s. Have to hope we close out better and they miss more in the second half.

Agree, not sure why we abandoned the man to man?
Well the zone worked for a bit there but then Providence figured it out a bit and started knocking down shots. Usually when a team starts finding success against a zone you go back to man to man but whatever

We were down 6 and Boo had a decent look from deep that would have cut it to 3 and made the sparse crowd here go nuts. Unfortunately he missed and Providence hit another 3.

We need a more in control Boo and fewer Pete Nance midrange jumpers if possible, but I’m not mad that he’s asserting himself. Gotta knock some down though.

When there was a timeout after we switched to zone, we should have abandoned it. They regrouped, talked about it, and found the holes in the zone. Were it not for the zone the game would be close.

We need to start getting stops. And no more Ryan Greer 1-on-2, though I applaud his aggression on offense overall. Plays within himself 9 times out of 10.

Good God. We are missing far too many shots right at the rim. Need to make a push soon or this is too big a deficit to overcome.

Can we hit shots. These are games we must win. It is tiresome to constantly lose to teams we should be neck and neck with

Same old same old. No rebounding at all. Nance becomes passive. Young tries hard and make some good plays but misses a lot of bunnies. The rest of the team looks like marginal Big 10 players.

I like how engaged and vocal Audige is at the timeout.

Dagger of a 3 from #14. Had them within 6 and the crowd was fired up. Just a huge gut punch. No room for error now.

It's hard to beat a team that makes close to 50% of their three pointers.
