The Vandy series was an anomaly. Bama series done after 2 games, and we have no resemblance to the team that took 3 from Vandy.
We leave way too many men on base in scoring position to be a contender and our bullpen cannot consistently hold down the opposition when it counts.
Sorry, just not impressed with the overall product Kingston is putting on the field.

Yea, I've been behind Kingston to this point since the hiring. I think I've seen enough at this point. Thought he'd turned a corner before the collapse last year. Sucks, but oh well I guess.

Errors and lack of timely hits, mixed in with bad pitching day not good. Overall I've been surprised by the pitching. It appears this team is stuck with the bad fielding label. Hitting with RISP going to be a coin toss each game it appears. Right now we are losing that coin toss more than not.
On the positive side, coach can't blame injuries 😏....

Only watched one inning last night. Three strikouts. Every swing was a trying to knock the cover off the ball type swing. I had seen enough. Went back to basketball.

I think I heard the TV announcers say we have one hit in 22 at bats with runners in scoring position in the first two games of this series.

For whatever reason, this team is not good on the road. They're really good at home To me, players gotta make plays. The talent is there, but they're not executing (not hitting with runners on base, not getting bunts down etc). Gotta let the entire season play out.

Agree on let season play out. I just feel we will be an error prone team. RISP hits will be hit and miss. Sometimes you are what you are.
I concur with someone saying Kingston is too analytical, coaching by the moment at hand trumps that.

Well, I've been against Kingston from the beginning, just saw nothing to show he deserved to be head coach of a team that had not so long ago won back to back NCs. I was hoping I was wrong and I didn't bash him, not until the last couple of years when it has become obvious that his teams will never be anything but mediocre. I get tired of being told that I am not a true GC fan because I don't wear the garnet glasses. 7 years in and we have 2 appearances in super regionals, one with Holbrook's players, and Clemson owns us. Kingston has a losing record in the SEC after 7 years and a .586 record when you throw in the non-conference. This year will be a repeat of last year, we should make it to post season, struggle and maybe win a regional, then fizzle on out, then the same excuses once again. How can people keep telling us that Kingston is the man when you have a losing record in the SEC and there is no consistency. I hope he turns it around this year and makes it to Omaha, because I love GC baseball, but something will have have to change soon with this team.

This is kinda why I wasn't all that happy we built a small ballpark close to the same dimensions as Sarge Frye. My fear was it would promote big swings and those big swings would not translate well at other parks.

Too bad Kingston analytics can't fix that 🤭.

If it's going to be Kingston, someone will have to pull him away from crunching numbers on the computer and make him a coach instead of the analyst he really wants to be.
I honestly think Ray was sold on an AI coach being the future. An experiment gone bad imo. Play the law of averages, get average results

We’re close to blowing a 5 run lead in the bottom on the 9th.
