Not fond of either program but it should be a great game. Louisville has a shot being at the Pizza Pit.

More salt in the wound. Mitch is counting the days to madness. At that point our fans will be completely distracted and he'll be free and clear.

A moment to reflect on what a creative AD and a winning coach can accomplish.

We hear, 'you can't win in Kentucky, it's a basketball state, there are few instate recruits, fans in the Bluegrass won't support you, you can't get a winning coach to stick around.'

Well, Louisville is in Kentucky, ranked in the top 15 and featured in the sport's premium forum. If Barnhart was their AD, they'd be in conference USA losing to Middle Tennessee.

They're hosting gameday and we're hosting New Mexico state and may actually lose to fall to 0-3. FML

we keep recruiting the wrong kind of trouble makers. we go for the drug dealing, raping, gun toting, idiots that suck at football. remember when Barker got TKO'ed a few years ago? you see how our guys reacted? S-A-W-F-T Soooofffftttt. We don't have an Anzalone from Florida type. Long hair crazy mf'er who is probably hogging a red man plug during the game and spitting that right into our guys face. Who is our I'm gonna beat that *** guy? We don't have one. Sad, sad, sad.

Weren't they 0-3 last year and we lost to a florida school to go to 2-1?

Not suggesting the respective seasons will tyrn like that.

Uhhhh...yeah they started 0-3, lost to Auburn, Houston, and Clemson...then finished season 8-2 including a bowl win against SEC Texas A&M...

Congrats to UofL for making the right hire and having one of the hottest football programs in the country right now. With the way Clemson has looked if they beat FSU Saturday the UofL/Houston game could end up being the game of the year in college football.

Without Jurich, Louisville never goes to the Big East, and is in the same boat Memphis is right now. He took Louisville from CUSA to the ACC.

be ready for a sea of flatbills.linebeards and Crown Royal drinkers..FUBU gear in every screen shot..ESPN will regret it for years..and if FSU rolls..Corso may have another stroke..
why would he have another stroke? he has ties to both schools. very sour grapes comments. expected no less.

It took UL this long to host college game day?? Didn't they come to Lexington for the LSU game when they were ranked #1 in 2007?

Who will the the celebrity picker?
Katina Powell?
Karen Sypher?
Andre McGee?
James Ramsey?
Ricky Three Stacks?
That dude that Rick told to marry Karen?

Odds on favorite is former NFL pro-bowler and All-American linebacker for Lee Corso: Tom Jackson.

Interesting take from you all.

Game like this good for the state as a whole.

While I want us to beat you every year (hopefully up to task in both BB and FB this year), the rivalry is much more fun when both programs are on more equal footing. The final 4 face off between us was outstanding in the build up and the atmosphere. Would be great if we had the same in FB. One of our best friends as a family is a UK grad and while we give each other grief we realize it s better for both if the other is successful. Hope you get it turned around. It will be up to us to rise to the occasion when you do.

guess they no longer care about Bobby's baggage[/QUOTE
They never did...as long as he never screws up again TJ picked a winner and if he does he will be divorced and his career is over...which way would you go if you are Petrino? Not rocket science folks. TJ and Otis are winners and so is Petrino, and KENTUCKY...where are we exactly?

I'm happy for my UL friends (live in Louisville). Good for them. Especially considering such a horrible hire they made when $trong left (sarcasm).

But, but, but.. Petrino will never be hired by a D1 program again. The media will be all over the team who hires him. Negative press after negative press. He'll never get a good staff to work for him because he's an a$$hole. No bigtime QB will play for that guy... Need I go on?

Bobby has made mistakes, no doubt. He had made amends with Jurich while he was still riding high at Arkansas. His kids loved Louisville and his daughter was a UofL scholarship athlete while he was at Arkansas. There is a connection. Will be a while before he leaves again if he does at all. That said, this is big time sports and a great coach will always be a risk to leave if you are not Bama, Ohio St etc and they still lose them to the NFL. We both have that luxery in BB just not FB (yet anyway). Just have to have the athletic department with the ability to find the next good replacement and the will to make the change..,eventually you can become enough of a destination it is harder to intice them away.

Imho, going after a succesful G5 headcoach or truley rising superstar coordinater isnt a bad stratagy. That is where we got BP to begin with. Strong had bern brought up several times for HC but never given a chance despite his experience at top programs. Just have to be open to the possibilities and have the commitment to give your coach what he needs to succeed...once guys see that, they could be willing to take a chance on a program that has historical struggles.
