Took me awhile to get approved and never saw the email to approve me. First let me congratulate your team, coach and fan base on a great win. You came into our environment and took it right at our strength and dominated much of the game. Nothing better than to win in March Madness or March sadness now for gator fans. Your coach apparently is a great motivator and tactician. Your team got a well deserved win and my hope is you make the final four. I have been a gator fan my entire life and have been going to games since the 1960s. So I have seen it all. I love basketball and your guys played some real team ball that night. Enjoy every minute of it. I have been fortunate to have seen my team win those six games in a row for a title. There is nothing else like it.

holy ****...i've been on iowa forums for a very long time and don't believe i've ever come across a post of this caliber from any opponent after a loss
Can't say I think I could be much of a fan of your coach, but thanks for the classy congratulations. Your guys showed their caliber by fighting back after Iowa's runs and until Folguieras hit that GWing 3, I honestly really thought the Hawks were going to lose a real heartbreaker of a great game.
Trust me when I say we all (desperately) want to see that too - Iowa reaching the Final4!
That's very nice of you and a lot of people here were rubbed wrong way on Golden but can't deny how good he's been. Haugh is a really special player. I think if that games played ten times Iowa only wins once or twice. Luckily it happened when it mattered.
The coach notwithstanding, I've got a lot of respect for that Florida team. They play hard. They play tough. That run they did in the 2nd half after we went up by 12 (I think it was a sustained 26-10 run) to flip it to them up 4 was pretty hard core. I honestly thought the Hawks were done at that point. Great game that won't be soon forgotten.....probably by either side for different reasons.
Your spread of sportsmanship in this day and age is a blessing to us all.

I watch basketball every night it's available. College, NBA, WNBA,.....We've been over this before.
I'm more often on the football board because that's where fans need the most correcting. I barely posted on the basketball board the last few years because I didn't have much nice to say about Iowa basketball. If fans start wrongfully giving Ben crap, you'll see me more on the basketball board. Basketball is by far my #1 sport. But this stuff will write itself

Thanks for the classy posts. The Gators won the whole thing last year, somethings the basketball Hawks have yet to accomplish. Your team will be back in the tournament next year with a chip on their shoulder.
We have Nebraska tomorrow night, a big rival. If Iowa wins there is about a zero percent chance one of their fans will be over here showing class. If Nowledge U wins there will be a dozen of them who wouldn't know what class meant if they had a dictionary.

Thanks for your kind remarks and empathy. Iowa fans are more familiar with the agony of defeat than with the thrill of victory, so beating a talented, defending national champion in the Gators was a terrific moment for us. We get so involved with our own team that sometimes we forget the other side of the equation, that for every game that's played, half the teams lose . . . March Madness or otherwise. And having been on the gut-punch end of close losses many times, we empathize with you, the Florida team, and all the fans. Sometimes you really wish nobody had to lose. The Iowa-Florida game was one of those, as was the Nebraska-Vanderbilt game and several others.
Anyway, congrats on Florida's many great victories, and thanks again for your gracious words when it was finally Iowa's turn. We appreciate it.

As for football, yes probably approximately top 7.5% football mind for FANS. That doesn't include actual football guys. We've been over that distinction before.

Thanks, many of us did not expect a win. I was just happy that we fought hard and were in the game to the end had we lost. I think our coach will be the next Bo Ryan of the BIG.

Watched most of the Gator games in their run to the Championship last year. Your guard play this year not quite as good, but it’s sad that Lee is taking all the abuse for the last play in this game. Every fan base has crappy fans; we definitely have our share. You are definitely an exception. Kudos

85% of football fans are clueless, when it comes to football. That's because football is enormously popular, to the point where only a small percentage of its fans ever played the game.
Given that I've played the game, coached it, and am able to make a profit wagering on it, I think it's more than reasonable to put my football knowledge in the top half of fans that actually have a clue
On game day our head coach was still up at 3 am and saw something on film and went over it later that morning. The guy is brilliant in breaking down the opponent & coming up with game plans.
