Did they OD/get tainted drugs or get trampled? Or did they get the bad drugs and then get trampled?

This is one of several reasons why I don't think people should be storming the field/court in sports.

This POS is married to Kylie Jenner. It’s like wedded bliss for two Pcs OS. I hope that dude throws himself into a wood chipper.

I'm 58, and have, in my long and storied career as a semi=professional "drug dabbler" and regular concert goer can say' without hesitation, that the most chill, friendly, non-heavy drug-using, least drama/violent crowds I've ever been a part of, were the many hip-hop shows I've attended (the most recent was Snoop et al at Rupp)

I went to see Method and Redman in Louisville several years ago, and I wasn't the only cracker in the audience, but it was pretty fvcking close. And I could not have been treated any friendlier. They seemed to get a kick out of a middle aged "white as they come" dude, digging on the music. I knew the lyrics, and clearly wasn't a bandwagoner (half of the audience was probably in pampers when Dare is a Darkside came out.

So, for my two cents, I just wanted to stick up for hip hop audiences because I have yet to experience any drama at one of those shows.

Big country acts, OTOH.... well, head on a swivel, and mouth shut, and even at that, you face decent odds of having to deal with, or diffuse a situation once you go through the gate.

immature drunk white guy (and I speak from experience) is WAY more trouble/volatile than your average hip hop concert goer.

Seriously, I've seen more raucous crowds, watching those old people dance on the re-runs of the old Lawrence Welk show.

Hip Hop is just a different vibe. High, doing your own thing, minding your own GD business, and getting into the music.

Hip Hop shows - "I'm here to chill and listen to some good grooves

Metal shows - "I've sized up a few folks that I'm taking out in the pit, once it gets rocking."

(to be fair, that's a small percentage of that crowd, but compared to hip hop shows, it's enormous)

At Louder than Life this year the crowd was pretty good. In the past I've been to rock shows where people were just looking to mess people up. This time there was moshing and what not but anytime I saw someone that didn't have any business being there, someone jumped in and pulled them out. Also saw tons of women crowd surfing and not being groped by every guy nearby.

But also I saw people in the pit wearing masks.

So push...

The most chilled concert I've ever been to was insane clown posse. Those juggalos sure are some nice people.

"Gathering of the Juggalos," a weekend festival in Hardin County, Ill., based around the band Insane Clown Posse. As Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, was set to debut her hip hop single "Ladies Night," the audience pelted Nguyen with large rocks, garbage, firecrackers and human feces from nearby port-o-potties.

She had it coming.

I've been in a pretty good number of mosh pits in my life, and usually people are looking out for each other. I saw a guy go down in the pit (don't know if he hurt his ankle or what) at the small stage this year at LTL and he was instantly surrounded by people who helped him up, kept the crowd back, and then carried him up out of the crowd. I've been knocked down before, and people will grab your hands to help you up pretty much instantly. People are in there to be aggressive but to have fun.

Now, the groping of crowd surfers is something I've seen. But not this year at LTL.

I never actually went to that of course. I do love how they treat sucky performers though

I've never been to the gathering, but in the mid to late 90's, I probably saw ICP 7-8 times. They put on a great show. Best show I saw of theirs was at, I think it was called The Garage in Cincy, before the new stadiums were built. Probably 400 people in a 200 capacity room, I'd bet. No security and the only thing separating the stage from the floor was stairs. I bet 20% of the crowd was on the stage at one point. They were suplexing crowd members back into the audience. Greatest thing I've ever seen.

Edit: oh yeah, there were copious amounts of drugs there!
