I'm reading "The Last Temptation of Rick Pitino" by Michael Sokolove. I was pretty surprised by his statement that NFL "viewers are not as attractive to advertisers as some might imagine." I always thought the golden rule was that the NFL is king.

Since things are dead out here, I thought I'd throw it out here for discussion. For a more complete context, read the two paragraphs starting with, "Pro football is by far the most popular sport in America ..."

It makes sense, but it's still surprising.

Certain games might be king but others if there is not the urgency...
