What an awesome game. I feel your pain as I’ve been there before. We got so lucky to come out on top. You had an awesome team. Love your team and the OU fans I met at the Rose Bowl. Had some fans next to me at the game that smiled, shook my hand and congratulated me on the victory after the game. Much respect. Boomer Sooner.

I met some great Georgia fans way back in 1978 at the Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston (Georgia vs Stanford). That was both before and after the game, won by Stanford 25-22, as Georgia blew a 15-0 halftime lead.
The game was Bill Walsh's last game at Stanford before he went to the 49ers. Buck Belue was the Georgia QB in that game as a freshman. Two years later, he and Hershey won the 1980 National Championship.
That nice memory has stayed with me these 40 years.
Beat Alabama.

I lived in Valdosta for about 4 years in the military. Loved that part of the country. I definitely still miss it. All the Georgia fans I hung out with were cool as hell. Of course I got tons of crap for being an OU fan in the deep south, but it was a great time down there. Would love to see Georgia take down Alabama!!!

I live in ATL and the UGA fans were extremely cordial and polite in the weeks heading up to the game. Most would just smile and nod, but a few would want to talk about the game, which was always fun. Only a couple talked smack, but mostly in jest and was easy to brush off and move on. Although I am disappointed in the outcome, I'm still proud to be a Sooner. Best of luck to the Dawgs on 01/08/18.

Congrats, Dawg.
I didn't come across a single sour Georgia fan at any point in the day. Even when I was hitting the head at 21-7 OU, I had Georgia fans giving the Sooners props.
The SEC doesn't deserve Georgia and Tennessee fans.

Most Georgia fans I came across recently were very nice people.

I have always said, the fans in the sec that crow the loudest are the ones that live off the success of the teams that are successful.
Examples:
Arkie Fans
Miss St. Fans
Ole Miss fans
Missouri fans
Aggie fans
LSU fans, while lsu has had some success in the recent past their fans are just trashy mouthbreathers that drink way too much and are just as obnoxious when sober.
I didn't mention S. Carolina, Kentucky and Vandy for obvious reasons.

Sat in Section 22, mixture of OU and Dawg fans, of the 15 OU fans around us, 14 were super nice (one lady gave my wife a bag to put our coats in so they wouldn't be on the concrete). One Sooner was drunk on his *** and a little of a pain, but the other OU fans around us kept apologizing for him (we told them we had our share of those guys as well).

Again, you guys were total class, hope to meet in another big game down the line.

Well, I shook a Georgia husband and wife's hand to congratulate them at the game. Maybe I'm the class act you mention. (I know, probably not.) Anyway, that couple was really enjoyable. They would smile and seemed to enjoy when the Sooners made a big play. It was like they just were happy to be at an awesome game. Other than some guy that was shouting about cornfields in reference to Oklahoma (not a geographer, I'm guessing), I had no problem with Georgia fans.

Thank you sir for stopping by, and we wish the best to your team in the championship game.

I've found your fan base to be much more civilized than the LSU fan base, and would like to express my appreciation for that.

Georgia vs Alabama looks to feature two quarterbacks who may not be flashy, but make few errors.

Most of my family migrated from Alabama and Georgia and there are still some there I am guessing but sorry I won't be for either team. I doubt I even watch it. I have seen enough of bama in title games the last few years to last me quite a while. I do think bama wins easily.

Saban is 11-0 against former assistants, beating them by a combined score of 430-111. That’s an average score of 39-10 in those games.

AMEN! The LSU fanbase was nothing but drunken douchebags...my kids, 13 & 9, will never forget being cussed, spit on and threatened while walking back to our car after the game...all the time the NO police sat on their horses doing nothing...

Thanks Dawg. Hope you guys beat Bama. Saban has won enough. And Smart probably has the best team any of the former Saban assistants had. Those UGA two running backs are awesome. OU had 2 like that last year but only one this year. Mayfield almost made up for it. And it was a memorable game.

We just wish Baker would have played HIS game in the 4Q and beyond... It may have come out differently; we'll never know. GA did well in playing through their pain

My friend And co - worker was Alphonso Ellis until he passed away from colon cancer . A super nice gentle guy that was a PUNISHING blocker as you know . I hope UGA crushes Bama for him .
