Looks like ND starting DL Ryan Mills is out for the duration as well

That is a tough break, but to be honest it looked like their backup QB had some legs and could make plays with them.
I’ll go one step further. I personally believe Stockton playing this weekend will make things much tougher for ND. Yes, I believe he’s a better QB than Carson Beck and the reason Georgia beat Texas down the stretch.

Assuming the spread holds, Georgia -2 is a solid bet.

Stockton averaged 4.4 per pass against Texas. Georgia has an anemic rushing offense. ND’s overall defense is on par with ours statistically, although you certainly could argue schedules. Their pass D is fairly solid (statistically it looks better b/c Army and Navy don’t pass much). We’ll see. They have that weird magic $h!t that happens every game I watch (opponent mysteriously fumbles, every call goes their way, …) and it has to be worth 7-10 points.

and Stockton has thrown 51 passes in two years, not sure why people would think he is that great

I mean, maybe he is but you can't tell by the evidence
Agreed. People remember what they saw last, which was an impressive half of football against a great team. Connor Bazelak looked amazing against PSU. For a half.
Stockton may be as good as advertised, but I'm not ready to declare him an upgrade yet. Otherwise he would have already replaced a very pedestrian Beck.

Something weird happened to Beck after his initial injury.

He seemed not to care where he was throwing the ball vs Texas in the SEC Championship. Georgia is better off without him.

I think Georgia and Ohio State are going to be the final two teams. Unfortunately, I think O$U wins it all

Been a PSU fan all my life. Backup QBs are always loved more.
Why is it that even the best coaches consistently pick the wrong guy? Joe could win 409 games, but how many of those were with his second best QB on the field? Now we have Kirby Smart, arguably the best coach in FBS with Saban's retirement, and he's making the same mistakes. It's incredible.

UGA better get their running game going against ND or they're in big trouble. UGA's other issue, inconsistent WRs just like PSU.
UGA has to control NDs running game, keep them in 3rd & long by corraling Leonard in the pocket, and make Leonard beat them passing.
