Fan support is crucial for this guy coming in. He created a great culture in App State. He's a winner until proven otherwise and most importantly he's not Bobby and wants to be here. He's got work to do but with new blood comes optimism and we may have found a real diamond in the rough here.

If you're worried about recruiting than do your part in being a fan base that kids want to come play for. I'm personally pumped to welcome the Mountain Man until given a reason not to. Louisville football was built on giving coaches their opportunity and Satterfield looks worthy to get his. Get excited, get loud and get on board.

If you're genuinely distraught hop on over to Purdue's board and tell them you heard the Packers reached out to Brohm. Let's set a good tone here though and get geared up for a fresh look.

Go Cards beat everybody!

I’m onboard but he didn’t create the culture at App State, Moore did when he upset Michigan and won several FCS championships.

Maybe but he continued it for many years and guided it into the FBS. Sustaining is hard and he proved he could. It’s nice for a change we haven’t had a guy here long enough to actually sustain the program. He’s proved he can!

You going to own up for being one of the great fans to contribute to that awesome culture? Or you going to support your team and stop being a cry baby?

Not for anything but I don't think there's a coach in the nation that was going to take this squad and prevent this opener from getting ugly. First offseason rebuild to take on a top 5 opponent opening game is a pretty tall order. Nice to see what your expectations were for the new hire though. Kudos.

Can’t wait to have 30,000 fans for the ND game when they beat us by 40 and half the fans are theirs. YIPPEE. Major fail of a coaching search.

Who would you have hired?

Brohm or Satterfield the outcome would most likely be the same. As much as everyone loves JB his D had a lot to be desired. And after the OSU win he won’t sneak up anyone again. He would have been good, but he isn’t the only guy that can coach and he wasn’t a sure thing either. Remember Bobby he was a sure thing too. So any new hires a gamble. Not giving Satterfield a chance is pretty close minded, especially since most on here are not coaches. We’re getting rave reviews nationally (By experts) for the hiring and the Brohm or bust guys are overlooking that.

And if only 30,000 fans show up that’s more of an indictment on our fan base then our coach. Heck your talking about the same base that gets bored if we’re winning. Gets there late leaves early. So I only worry about me I’ll be there because I love FB and I support the Cards. And most certainly will give Satterfield a chance. He deserves it, at least he wants to be here. Far better than JB.

And I didn’t notice any P5 coaches lining up for the job, because that rarely occurs, unless they’ve been fired.

I have been watching Satterfield develop Appalachian State Football, just like Mack did Xaviers Basketball. I am all board about both of them. They were both not unemployed and really want to coach at The University of Louisville.

This guy is a middle of the road recruiter in the Sun Belt,,,,Let that sink in. UNC wouldn't give him a sniff let that sink in also.

Middle of road guy that develops talent. Did you check out his record. The guy develops talent. He recruits based on his evaluation not stars. His record speaks for its self. And I laugh at anyone that uses UNC as a basis for an argument. You lose credibility immediately. I lived there for many years, they’re not known for making the best hires. Their getting hammered for hiring Mack.

Incase you haven’t noticed were not getting the top recruits and never will. We need someone who can evaluate and develop talent, that’s how we win at UofL. Satterfield has proven over and over again he can do that.

I think you should listen what the national experts are saying about the hire, you know the guys that understand FB.

I have seen his overall record mentioned frequently but I am curious as to his record against the top 25 teams?

Obviously when you look at Strong to Petrino continuing the culture built by one to another isn't a sure thing.

I know thats sarcasm, but Meyer is the last thing the UL brand needs now or for the next 5-7 years. He had a bunch of criminals at UF and well, we all know what transpired recently.

Plus Urban’s health isn’t good. He has an arachnoid cyst in his brain that causes extreme headaches.

I had one on the spine, there no fun. Mine was operable his as I understand is not.

He has won the last three Sun Belt championships along with three straight bowl WINS. He has taken Tennessee and Penn State into overtime in their own house. With what you call “middle of the road” recruits.

Let THAT sink in.

Yet he won the conference. You do realize Boone, NC is in the middle of nowhere. Also, UNC did offer, but they wanted him to be a coach in waiting under Brown.

He will only be as good as the Assisitants, I will wait to see who those guys are before I get too high or low on this hire
