I'm cautiously optimistic but I'm not getting my hopes up. To be honest, I think the program really hangs in the balance. If Braun can't pull off a 500 season plus a bowl win, it is time for a total reboot IMO. NU can't let the advantage of two state the art football facilities slip into mediocrity. This is the time the program should be striking while the iron is hot not casting about hoping that a really nice guy who was never intended to be NU's head coach finds his way.
Reboots after 2 years is not good business model. Braun was only interim his first year hurting recruiting and the Fitzgate is an albatross on his back too though less with time.
How long is everything going to get blamed on Fitzgate? This should be no less than a 500 season.
