Giles & Tatum recruiting Bolden to Duke

Sometimes current players can be your best recruiter. Terry Chili had a hand in the recruitment of Mike Gminski. OFC
Marques Bolden went to the same HS as Matt Jones, DeSoto, could also be a helping factor as well.
Giles and Tatum have big plans for their lone season at Duke. They know with Bolden in the fold they're that much better.
When the #1 and #2 kids in your class are calling your name....you have to listen right? I mean he's listening to every other voice out there.
If there is one spot on the floor where there is room for an elite freshman talent, it's the 'off forward'. Right now our front court rotation will be Giles, Chase and Obi, with Vrankovic as great insurance. While that's a darn good rotation, adding Bolden makes it a top 3 frontcourt. We have room for him, and he'll play a significant role on a team that may be the pre-season favorite. It has to be tempting.
I'll edit a few things as I see them personally.
1. Might be exaggeration to call him a "great insurance." but that is nitpicking
2. Wouldn't be top 3, it would be the Top. Jeter is going to be really really good. You put him next to Giles and that already isn't fair. you put him AND Bolden there, and lights out. The fun pairing is Obi and Harry b/c between the two of them there wouldn't be a single rebound that we wouldn't get.
3. No maybe about it. Pre-season favorites already.
Ok, I'll admit it, that's the way I feel too. Just trying to exercise humility, LOL.
I really don't care how good a player is, when Harry Giles & Jayson Tatum want you to join them, that's like E.F. Hutton talking, you must listen!!

Actually, they aren't really that close. Bolden wasn't around when Matt was there. You can even look at any interview and Marques never drops Matt's name, which is rare when guys attended the same school.
I have no inside info. Never claimed to. But being a UK fan I read a lot about recruits. From recruiting services to players tweets. Even coaches comments.
Everything I've heard here lately makes me believe Duke gets Bolden. And like several said here, it sure doesn't hurt that your commits are recruiting him as well.
I would love to have him at UK. But there's been way more talk about Allen here lately around our program. I don't know if Calipari has the feeling he's leaning toward Duke, but I know Cal has always loved the kid, and now Cal is doing some hard recruiting on Allen.
It's just my opinion that Bolden goes to Duke and we get Allen. And I'm fine with that. Both are great players. And personally, I just want every player to go to what team "THEY" want to go to.
I just hope Fox has succes in recruiting Monk to UK.
Either way, Duke and UK will be fine.
But with my inside info, it wouldn't surprise me if both landed at Boise State.
