Agreed. I was tough on him on this board last game, but he played pretty dang good tonight.
Props to JR. and props to Almonor for bailing us out when MSU made that comeback to take the lead.
And Amari Williams. He showed that toughness and effort I been dying to see

It was nice to see the Coach Pope and the team feed the hot man! Cal’s teams and most teams in today’s game fail to do this. Often this season I have watched college and high school games where a guy gets on heater and his own teammates defend him.
Congrats to Jrob for showing up. I've been hard on him the last few games. If he can be this day in day out we can make a deep run. Loved his interview, said playing for each other and the state of Kentucky. Well done.
Yep, I've been critical of JR, but he showed up tonight, and Alminor too! Pope was playing Alminor more because MS was thug footballing us.

The only negative the two turnovers he forced Amari by falsely cutting. They need to work on these reads.

If he can play like he did tonight, and like he did against Gonzaga, this team can be really good.
Everybody on the team is having to learn how to handle the pressure of playing for Kentucky. Even the 5th year seniors. We all know that it's different here. The development they're showing is from getting used to that pressure and being able to play through it. Pope is the best coach possible for being able to guide them through it because he's had to do it also. This is a very interesting year for Kentucky basketball--a team of mercenaries coached by a former Captain of a Kentucky national championship team.
I’m really happy to see him have this awesome, complete game. He and the team really needed it. Well done Jaxson!
This one game got his 3 point perecentage up to 33% and I think he's really better than that; his release is beautiful.
