Much rather have Gonzaga as our two and play in Houston (home of the Harrisons) than Wisconsin and play in Cleveland.

1) There is no way we go to Houston
2) Most likely Kansas will be in the South

I'm literally stunned at the Wisconsin hand ringing here today. Kentucky beat them last year with a team not remotely as good as the one we have this season.

Sure, Wisconsin could beat UK, but not if Kentucky plays at a high level.

I live 45 miles from Cleveland I sure wish I had tickets for this once in a possible lifetime event as Kentucky could be 37-0 and 38-0 after the games there. You don't get a choice you get the closest and so there is zero doubt Kentucky is going to Cleveland. It be nice if Wisconsin moved up to 1 seed and Virginia or Nova dropped to a 2 seed.

You play who you have to play but it is silly for #1 to play #5 in the Elite 8 should both teams get that far.

Remember 2010 we all thought Kentucky would beat everyone that year too and what happened ?

Every team can have an off game we nearly lost to Texas A&M and LSU this year.

I say just put us in Indy and we can wait on the 3 losers.

Shouldn't Wisconsin be the one crying? Not us? Kinda sad we have fans this scared.

Reminder, we are the current, undefeated, #1 team in the country, who beat the same Wisconsin team with a lesser group last year. Geez.

Agree with Brian. Henry, I agree that balance should be a priority over geography. I just don't think the Wisconsin matchup is that bad. You're right about teams having off days. If UK has an off day in the regional final, it would be difficult to beat anybody.

One of the great things about last years run is that in those games vs. WSU, U of L, Michigan, and Wisconsin, both teams on the floor played at a high level. I think this team feasts on that type of challenge.

Actually, Wisconsin lost their leading scorer from last year (Brust) so they aren't as good and we have a team that would dominate last years UK team.
You know, it's okay to be afraid to lose to a certain team but stop making threads about being afraid of Wisconsin. Yes they're good but come on.

I agree that being named the overall #1 seed should mean something which it doesn't if geography is more important. Still, there's no denying it will help a lot of UK fans be able to go to those games should UK get there. This year though with 6 legit title contender's, at least IMO, at least two 1 seeds are going to get paired with another one of those 6. And we all know one of them is not going to be named Duke which really isn't much closer to Houston than Virginia. Both are natural south region seeds as is Kentucky. And Duke undoubtedly has more fans on the east coast than Virginia. Yet almost every projection has Duke going to Houston. It really can make one wonder. Then if they get paired with Gonzaga it becomes obvious.

But that's the thing, Wisconsin has the 2nd best chance of winning it all according to Vegas. Why should Kentucky be "rewarded" with a facing a team in the Elite Eight that is the 2nd or 3rd best in the nation? It shouldn't take Kentucky's best performance just as a team to make it to the Final Four.

I'm not afraid of Wisconsin. I just prefer an easier path. You're an idiot if you don't. We won it all in 2012 playing just one team seeded better than four. My favorite tournament memories under Cal are the wins over top-seeded Ohio State and Wichita State, and second-seeded North Carolina, Kansas and Wisconsin, and two wins over fourth-seeded Louisville. But I still prefer a better matchup to get to Indy, as should any fan. I hope Duke, Arizona and Virginia get upset, too.

I don't think anyone here is crying about it we are just stating a fact about 1 vs 5 and how it makes little sense.

You play who is on your schedule I am pretty sure Wichita State would have rather played a different #8 seed last year.

It is what it is and people are just talking about it you guys don't need to get so offended that we talk about it.

I guess everyone should come on here and talk about how Kentucky will smash everyone and who cares who they play well if that is your gig feel free to keep on keeping on.

For all of you thinking we will beat Wisconsin because we beat them last year in the Final Four, remember that UNLV beat Duke in the championship game by 30 points. The next year Duke ruined their perfect season.

We beat Wisconsin eight times out of 10, I think. But I also think we beat Gonzaga nine out of 10, and I'd prefer them for that reason.

This team is twice as good as 2010.

you know Tubbys, I remember that well, UNLV running up the score on Duke. And, I thought at the time, that it might come back to haunt them! It did...

I'd just as soon have a gauntlet, like last year.

Force us to play Wisc, AZ, Gonz, Duke, etc, and then when we're 40-0, no one will doubt which was the best team so far in CBB history. This team is not going to lose.

Nobody seems to get what I've been saying all along,It has nothing to do with being afraid to play Wtsconsin or anybody else,it has everything to do with fans and the crowd that as we all know has an effect on officiating and energy in a game.

Kentucky will have a far better UK Friendly crowd in Houston instead of a UK Hate filled Cleveland, and don't hand me the BS about Big Blue Mist traveling,we all saw what happened in 2003 when UK had to play both Wisconsin and Marquette in Minneapolis where UK Fans couldn't get tickets and the crowd was heavily anti-UK,again in 2010 being forced to play a Big East team in a Big East Northern arena with Anti-UK crowd.

Kentucky Belongs In The South ,it's not about matchups,it's not about closeness to Lexington,it's all about the Sixth Man and area UK is Home In,as the Overall #1 Seed UK should be at HOME in the SOUTH

OT kinda, but have you seen Dukes projected bracket. Wow. We should get that bracket. And how the hell did OSU go from an 8 to 7 seed after getting waxed at home by Wisconsin. Joe Loonardi

I'm all for an easier path as well, however, I will be the last person to plead for another bracket to avoid one team. It is not fair to UK, but it really isn't fair to the Badgers. Both sides should be upset. But they should be the ones asking for another bracket, IMHO we are better than that. Again just my opinion, I do respect yours.

Thank you for being respectful (rare on this board). I'm not going to cry if we get Wisconsin, I just think it would be yet another time where we got screwed by the committee. The only time we didn't, 2012, we won it all.
